i wanna know if the 95-99 cluster gauges will fit in the 2000 and up and if does will it work

No. The mounting is different, the plugs are different, and odometer is different. With the 2000+ the odometer is stored in the BCM and with the non digital 95-99 its stored in the cluster.

Pretty much everything electronic changed, as well as the physical shape, as Tinkles said above. The data stream from the ECM is different, even the resistance from the fuel level sender is different.

If you've got a 2000+ cav (I don't know, since you don't have a car listed in your registry), and want to swap a different cluster in, you can swap a 2000+ Sunfire cluster.

sorry to jack your thread bro but are the 03-05 cav and 03-05 sunfire gauge clusters interchangable? while were on the topic

^^^^^^Thats your answer. Yes 03-05 are considered 2000+, cuz they are.
