ok my glove box rattles it self when i am driveing and it bugs me to no end i have put some foam strip just like above the latch and it helps alittle but still shakes what can i do to stop it from moveing at all?

lol...my glovebox rattles like a bitch too...but only on certain roads at low speeds..its wierd. Its just never pissed me off enough for me to try and come up with a solution...one day if i remeber lol

just open the the box and remove it from the dash take out all the screws there is a big metal plate cut some carpit to size and put it all back and it even makes the govle box sound when closeing it more solid aswell its a nice little touch

mine does this also, i hate it.

I think its juast a cavy curse, cause mine does it at the bottom right corner and don't line-up for @#$%

i got a 99 sunfire and it does it sometimes on really bumpy roads, easiest fix is ignoring it! lol

x2, My 97 Sunfire has it bad. I just kinda trun up the radio and ignore it haha. Maybe one day I'll mess with it...

my 01 cavi does it bad to. i also have motor mounts and everything but it never bothered me until last month when my amp went so its all i can listen to now lol

My sunfire does it too...... it's even worse now because my GF lost one of the screws that holds the radio/hvac shrowd on and noow thats rattling too.

I usually just turn of the stereo also.... but it would be nice to get rif of....

From the way it sounds...... all of our cars have this problem..

My 2002 Z dose it also but it started when I put my subs in, so that might be what happend to mine!

Our cars don't have anything that rattles. You people are all nuts.

I think we need better instructions!

i just pulled most of my dash, and covered the backside of any plastic piece with a soft material like headliner material. i really dont have any rattles in my dash.

Well with owning a cavy I've come to realize that it's best to get a really loud stereo system, to cover up all of the rattles and squeaks it makes, cuz my car gets on my nerves too.

or just fix the rattles and your car will be quiet.

i got a 99 sunfire gt same problem but ive taken the entire interior apart and wraped back of the glovebox with foam and some spray adhesive to hold it on and everywhere where two peices of plasstic touched but didnt have a screw to hold them tight together i used some weatherstriping for around windows in a house to stop them from rattleing now it wont rattle at all no matter how rough a road im on and ive been on poorly graded backroads if those dont do it nothin will anyways this summer im gonna do some custom dashwork and im gonna have to fiberglass the doorpanels cause they are in rough shape

My glove box rattles, Just where the plastic clip handle (that opens glove box). Not sure whats the deal with it.

My glove box door used to rattle....If its the door thats making the rattle just pust some foam tape around the inside and its problem solved...

I cut some of my foam mattress pad and put it in there I thought it stopped it for a while but it started up again whats wrong???
