I have a 1998 z24 that recently jumped its timing I was wondering if I can strip the the interior seats, and door panels ( drill out the holes for the window rollers0 and directly fit it into my base model 1999 2 door cavalier?

It can be done, but if you're going to go that far, why not swap the power windows in as well instead of drilling the hole for the crank?

also, is there any specific reason why you would go through the trouble of swapping over the whole interior? unless yours is in horrible shape or you just really love the red/grey speckles, there really isnt much of a reason for it.

I find the z24 seats more comfortable and I like the color of them

hmm weird... I never noticed a difference in z24 seats... I noticed a huge difference in GT seats but not the z24's... I would have to agree with quick cav.. if you're going through the trouble of the swap you might as well do the windows

my driver side window in the z24 keeps giving me trouble( coming of track and the switch is broke) my cavalier seats are this uncomfortable grey material and they seem to sit higher than the z24 ones. can anyone tell me how to remove the seat from the base?

Yup did my 98 base car like this. I added power windows/locks and the seats and door panels from a 2000 z/24 . Do it right and it IS plug and play, the connection is under the dash for the power lead in the green plug by the kick panel and just add a circuit breaker and all done !!! I did mine with parts from work (u-pullit) and got a Viper alarm too and it only cost me like $100 for everything plus $30 for a new window motor on the left when the one I got with the part crapped out on try #11 !@#$% that sucked. I just got a dash from a 2000 in nice shape too for $13 complete and that is my next project. Be prepared to pull the rugs out part-way to run the wires like the factory did, took me 2 days total start to finish but I am OCD and played big time take apart to put it all in like a factory job and upgraded my front speakers too. Do NOT cut any wires when you take this stuff out and it will go way easier for you to reinstall it all.
