Takata is the number one supplier for airbags, and number two in seatbelts. Mostly all GM vehicles are using Takata belts and airbags.

I work there, engineering R&D headquarters.

because takata is the trendy racing belts to have in the car in all the magazines, so apparently anything with their name on it is now cool.

I wouldn't say trendy...they just plain and simple work. And they cost WAAAAAY too much to be trendy.

there are allot of other great harnesses out there that just plain work, so if your going to spend WAAAAAAAY more for it then that puts it in the trendy range. look at things like strut grills. their nice grills but for 5 grand less you can get a same quality grill that looks just as good, but everyone runs out and gets the strut grill. why? because its the trendy thing to do.
