change the color of my cluster... for $5.

I was playing around with the green sockets, and broke them out and tried to see if it was possible to put in new bulbs(colored) without soldering them.
And it worked as shown below.

*NOTE* I took this pic with my jacket over my head and the cluster, thats why it looks dimmer on one side.


After I see how it looks tonight when its actually dark outside, I'm going to try some blue bulbs.



This way is alot cheaper than the LED swap.
its around $2 for two bulbs, and you dont need anything else.

that looks surprisingly good. i thought it would look more purplish since there is a blue filme on the backside of the gauge faces

There wasn't any blue film on mine... I held it up to the light, it just shines white.

I want to try them with blue later today, and see if its any brighter.

At night they shine ever so slightly orange-ish, but it still looks nice.
