as far as the door panels. there is no reason to fiberglass them unless your adding something or changing something on them. otherwise your just making more work for yourself. get a bunch of sand paper, and some buildable primer n go to town.
listen to what he said
and as for the shifter. yes it is possible. i did it to mine. there used to be a how to on here somewhere. but i dont know where it is. and im to tired to search nor give any advice. sorry tho. but it IS possible. ive done it to my car.
Thanks guys, I like the idea of sanding it smooth better plus i don;t plan on adding any thing i was just wondering if the sanding smooth usally turn s out good. and for the trans handle i will keep searching again thank u

What about on the top dashboard where its not so much as plastic but it feels like a sort of soft vynal? also sndsgood how did you go about wraping your upper dash in what you have it in?
Dupli color----vynal and fabric the best way to go(my opion)
the top dash piece if u want the smooth look i feel should have the vynal removed then built up with fiberglass then smoothed and painted, some guys have just applied high build primer over top of the dash till it was smooth and painted but its not something i personally would reccomend.
my dash is wrapped in sued and i had an upolster do it, do to the curves and such it had to be steamed to get the material to stretch properly and that is something i just dont have the capability of doing.

sndsgood, I saw your car at Carl Casper 08 and the interior looks great! tommy listen to him if you are thinking of smoothing the dash pad cause I can vouch for him knowing what he is talking about here.
If it can't drag, it ain't low enough!
The shifter is easy enough to shorten, pipe cutter is simplest for trimming down the metal post, but be sure that when you cut it that you cut the plastic inside of it the same amount, but not to the same length.
