Tried searching for this, but either didn't know better wording to describe it, or it hasn't been addressed yet. Either way, on to the question. Some of you may have an anti theft device that was installed from the dealer. This has a light that they drilled and mounted into the bezel. Usually over the dimmer switch, just above it. I want to get the bezel out of my car to paint it. My question is this, I have tried to find a way to remove the light for the anti theft, but it has a plastic trim peice that holds it in place, short of destroying this, I see no easy way of removing it. Can I simply cut the wires and then connect them back together, or will this cause a problem with the light, since it is also used as the manual override? Sorry if the details were long, but I wanted to make sure I explained this as best as possible. Thanks for any help on this in advance.
Crap, almost forgot in case it matter, it's a 2004 chevy cavalier.
