tear resistant materila?

Well if u read my other post the leather gsr seats I was gonna get didn't go through so now I was thinking of just redoing my momo seats. My question is: Is there any kind of material that is really resilient to tearing? Or is there some kind of rubber material than can be used? This material will be used around all the edges not to cover the whole seat. Reason is since my seats don't recline and have that bucket frame when I slide in the outer edge has gotten all ragety over the last two years that I've had em, so I just want something that will resist tearing wen I slide into the car. So just wondering if any of u all know of anything that might be able to help me out, sorry for the long post guys
