Lights dimming problem

1998 Chevy caviler base model ) I have a 1200 watt sony xplod amp huked up to a 1 Farad cap. I have everything huked up the right way. I all so have yet to run the Big 3 wiring. And when the bass hits the lights fade. Sould i get a aftermarket alternater along with a bigger battery. What can i do to fix the problem.

Theres your problem right there.

Upgrade the big three and problem solved.

If thats not the issue i would not necessarily go with a new alt.

Try a deep cycle battery or a yellow/red top optima battery.

But first things first upgrade the big 3

Well i did the Big 3 upgrade and my lights are still dimming. So you think that i should upgrade the battery to a yellow top optima. Do u realy think that it will solve my problem. Thanks for replying

Drive by me when I have like 3 ladies in the car. Free peditto points if you catch my drift

I'm no expert but I'd say your only option is to start with buying a better battery now.
