This is my first time fiberglassing, and i just wanted to get some input on how it looks so far.

i really hope that those gauges are slid in from the back, and not actually covered in fiberglass.

Haha, i have a little more common sense than that, but i understand that there are alot of idiots out there too. This was just a test fit to see how everything lines up.

IMO it looks like a mummy.

I know what you were trying to achieve, but why didn't you just apply fiberglass to the area you were wanting to "modify" and just sand the texture out of the rest of the bezel. With enough sanding you can get it looking good but it seems you will have a lot of high/low spots to find along the way.

I'd find another bezel...

i think i just fiberglassed over the bezel. i am pretty sure i still see the bezel around the edge.

as long as this itself is removable, it was good experiance to play with the glass, and get a feel for the process. but it just takes time to get used to things. i for one redid my first console a few different times, partly to get a handle on glassing/smoothly, but also a few different ideas. all i was out was the material in the glass.

Ill get a better picture up in a little bit. I'm no expert, but it looks like a little sanding and bondo should clean it up nice.

just looks like you used allot of time and fiberglass and materials for what is just essential two gauge pods added. kudo's for trying and stick with it, but it just seems you went a bit overboard for a simple change.

I would call that one a learning experience. The radio needs to be fit into the bezel better, rather than just stuck into it. Part of the point of glassing a dash is to make things fit in well as if they belong there. Having the head unit end up with the faceplate sitting in front of the bezel ruins the look.

Props for the effort, but I would really just use that one as practice.
