How do I install a universal black leather e-brake boot in a '95 Cav that does not currently (or ever) have one??? It looks incredibly cheap and exposed this way. I know this is probably a question with easy and obvious answer but right now I'm too tired to search the answer or think of an idea
...........
This is the one I was thinking of getting if it helps at all:

you'll only see about 1/3 of that one...you turn t inside out, put a ziptie on it around the handle where you'd like it, then fold it back over so its rightside in and push the end down past the hair.

or....get a stock boot. It comes stuck to this wire that's supposed lock in to the bottom side of the console gap where the handle comes out of.
Cut it down to the last 3 inches or so, then staple the new boot over the remaining part of the old boot. DO NOT use sticky velcros, etc
They'll melt when the weather warms up.
That's how I did it with my MOMO boot. Works and looks great. If you have a hard time understanding how to, don't hesitate to PM me.
I suppose if I got a stock one or any universal one I could take some heat resistant adhesive......or liquid nails--it'll won't ever so much as budge then.
Anything that looks better than those cheap bristles.......
