This is how fast my car was going. Actually I started my car the other day and in the driveway it said I was doing 80mph so this was going 40-60mph. Its in the shop now.

my sunbird did that once, i wasnt moving and the speedo shot up to 110 mph and i was going like 2 mph
and if i would rev it alittle it would act like a tach.

my moms 03 had the same thing happen, plus the right rear taillight kept blowing (yes there was a recall), the suspension kept popping, mechanic left the oil cap off and it got really low on oil, so the engine started knocking, trunk wouldnt open even with key or popper, HVAC had issues. the mechanic said "It's a Cavalier, it will never be right". Well after messin with it so much we traded it in on an Equinox.
good luck just hope that is all that happens.
I started my car once and my Speedo jumped to 90, and my Tach did a full loop!
^^^^ LMAO, i would of just sat in my car and laughed for like 5 minutes, i know it sounds weird, but for some reason that would be really funny to me.

Im going thru the same exact problems, must be a recall on everything for the 03's .. God i hate GM. This is my last car im getting from them.
i looks like the speedo on my Cady on GT4. lol. always barried

My car is the same way. I had it in the shop and they replaced the intermediate shaft. Then I went on vacation. Came home and my rear turn signal blew again(after the fixed it for the recall) plus they broke the studs in my light assembly so I couldn't even change the bulb.Thats when I noticed my gauges. I spoke with the dealer today and he said that the mechanic was on the phone with tech services and ordered more front end parts a new computer and a new set of gauges that will be here Monday. Until then I'm pimping a Buick century.
