Finally..to rid of my steelies! (warn 56k)

Finally..after getting a new motor...getting a bent wheel...blowing a tire...I am on to better things!

Getting her clean for the UPS man!

Here are my new Babies!

Rated Z....no kids allowed.

Man she looks beautiful!!! Accually doesn't look bad on stock hieght! (though it was still sitting high from being jacked up)

My only problem..which some of you might be able to help me with..my centercaps got torn off by the bolt!

Man I'm loving my car...I know the next move is to get it lowered...but I just got here to California..and my Intake isn't legal...so I have to throw down some $$ for an AEM system.

More pictures in a couple hours probably...I waxed her up and shined the tires after all that..now I'm gonna go to the Flight Test Center Museum and take some pics in front of the SR-71

Hope you all like it!!!

Rims are nice.... but I think you should have stuck with 215/45/17 tires... for a lot of reasons that are listed in the wheel and tire faq.

Man that's some MONSTEROUS wheel well gap... you can almost put your head in there!

Yeah, nice wheels, really bad choice on tire size.

I went into FAQ for the wheel/tire info..I really saw nothing informing about bad tire sizes..anyone mind pointing me where?

Ah nvm I saw the section...I see my speed's/tire spread on the ground are diff...possibly I might have to send them back...or see how much it is off.

Thanks for the info guys

Well its just making his car ring up more miles than it is actualy going.
Other than that. WHo cares?
And they offer less protection for the rim.

I am all that is man

Looks good. You don't need me to tell you that you need a drop. Like everyone said, wrong tire size...I learned my lesson when I got my friends rims and tires and those were 205/40. I ended up throwing them away cause all of the rims got bent. I got 215/45s and loving it, no bent rims and handles all the Jersey potholes.

well you had some cheap or weak rims then, or tires, i had 205/40 on my old 17's and no bent rim ever now my bro has them and still no bent rim, i now have 18's with 215/35 and still no bent rim, so you obviously had another factor in there somewhere, later

Actual your probably right...I had some exel's on there, now I have Motegis. Also, I believe my gas mileage was worse because of the wrong tire size.

Correct.

Looks good with the new rims
I wouldn't worry about the tires now, they probably wont take them back since they're mounted - depends on where you got them from though, so I guess it wouldn't hurt to see. If not, dont worry about it, just fix them the next time you buy tires - and be careful of curbs, because those aren't going to protect the rims at all!

Now slam it

Always stays in the driveway...plus the base is real good on having wide roads on good rolled curbs..if I was to do the nasty and rub my tire on it

Intake is ordered so I don't get pulled over and checked...and springs by june!

What is considered an ileagle intake in California?? I don't live out there and I know the nation of California has own rules it just sounded strange that yours isn't and that they check them.

Later,

I got here in late march...went to the base auto hobby shop for an emmisions test..and I guess the company that makes the intakes must have a sticker with some kind of inromation proving that is a 50-state legal intake...and you also have to have a permit on your persons from what I have been told..

Only company I have known of that makes 50-state legal intakes is AEM...so that is what I will have to get.
