alright sorry for the post jacking. Just curious how you went about shaving the trunk lid? I'm planning on doing it over the next week or so.

you take the lights off grind down all around the metal where you are goin to weld
but pieces of metal to the shape of the old lights
weld the pieces onto the trunk - grind down all the welds to they are smooth
-use some fiberglass body filler to make smooth then use a small coat of finishing putty to finish the job off then primer
its alot of work but wel worth it
as for the tail lights i desided not to do it i completed one side of them and didnt like the look of it so i took everything that was involved in the outer tails off.. now its back to normal

That is what I had thought. But wasn't sure. Thanks for the info!
The rear end is coming alllong very nicely, I hope you aren't JUST using body filler to mold on the spoiler and the plastc pieces above the bumper though.....?

i urathanded it all together first and used construction adhesive also to conect it all i took a ruber malit to it just to see if it would crack but didnt so its all good... i used fiberglass filler instead of just body filler and used finishing putty for a final over lay
