Well after five hours of working on the car off an on today, I managed to gut the interior (minus the dash) as well as the trunk, put my new black carpet in as well as spray my trunk carpet black as well as my headliner.
Anyways heres some pics.
My new carpet unrolled in my living room floor.
Heres the old carpet with the seats, harnesses and all interior peices removed.
Interior gutted.
New carpet just cut, and installed.
Passenger side view of the carpet freshly swept.
Drivers side floor shot
Hre is a rear side shot view of the new carpet. I posted this pic to show one of my reasons for getting new carpet. On my old carpet there were holes where the stock seat belts went on both the inside and outside of the carpet. With the new carpet those holes are no longer there. I also didn't have to cut holes for the mounts for the rear seats since I don't have any as well as the holes for the ducts to shoot air or heat to the rear. I just closed it off so it pushed out the dash vents harder.
Here is a picture of the trunk almost completely done in black. The center section is the color it use to be and it has a false wall in the back blocking off the interior compartment and trunk. I would have finished it but since there is a hole there I need to cover I need to get some new carpet to wrap. Unfortunately the idiots at the only stereo shop here wouldn't sell me a yard of it even though I've never had this problem anywhere else. They expected me to buy the full five yards for 35 bucks. Screw that.
Here is a picture of my headliner freshly done in black. All the thanks has to go to my g/f though for helping me by doing this. The camera flash frigged it up but the lines really aren't there, its just a smooth black. I hate my camera.....
Finally a picture of my old carpet, I may try to salvage it to carpet the area where my backseats once were but I don't know yet. For a life with two owners, year round driving, 90K miles and not being swept in over a week I don't think the carpet was too bad, just time for a change.
Anyways in case you are all wondering this carpet is made by ACC and I picked it up from Jason @ www.aplusperformance.com (great person to deal with) for around $130-$136 shipped I can't quite he's The carpet comes premolded and fits like a glove, the only cutting I needed to do was for the shifter and my seat bolts. The price can't be beat either Matching floor mats will come somtime later.

Whitecavy, Manta Z(w.k.a. Crazy Cavalier) covered that one for ya I believe lol. Thanks for the comments guys. I was surprised at how well this carpet really does fit though. I had minor and I mean very minor trimming and it was all around the shifter and e-brake.

I just put in my black carpet from ACC a couple weekends ago, and did the headliner.
But...did u like, paint ur headliner while it was in the car ? plz dont tell me its done cuz in those pics it looks pretttty bad
thas black....and it looks like u missed spots on the visors
It must look MUCH better..... I've done that when I had to replace my @!#$ dirty gray carpet to black carpet. It does give a whole lot new look!

gold99gt ,
It was painted outside the car, I guess you missed the part where I said I gutted the interior. It only looks like that because I have a crappy camera that not only is 1mega pixel but can't take pictures worth crap. I didn't go as black as I could but it was black enough.
Here is another picture, this is the best I can do camera wise, trust me though, I wouldn't put anything on my car that is remotely half-assed.

looks good!,did you use Dupli-color vinyl and fabric dye? looks like it i used the same thing
http://www.coloradojbody.org/albums/Bigboi/interior_004.sized.jpg
3 cans worth and since it is a vinyl dye too i did the molding around the sunroof ( its a dye not paint so it says soft and doesnt scratch) For the visors im covering them in new material cause i couldn't get that stupid airbag warning sticker off.

Big Boi,
Yup thats exactly what I used, except I only used two cans.
My first headliner was fiberglass with matching visors, but I went to a local junkyard and found a 95 Cavalier that didn't have the airbag warnings on it. So I picked those up and used them. You may want to try that.
