well here's how the car stands as of this last weekend. i finished the car up and took it for its first spin at 5:30 pm thursday the day before the bash. the car hasnt been driven in over 7 months just working on it and waiting to get new things for it. here's a rundown of the changes over the last year and then the pics.

EXTERIOR
rksport streetfire front bumper
rksport streetfire side skirts
rksport 2003 streetfire rear
wayson f1 fenders
2003 taillights
2003 rear trunk bezel
eyelids molded onto hood
m3 mirrors

SUSPENTION/BRAKES
koni yellows adjustable shocks
ground control coilovers
slotted/drilled rotors
stainless steel brakelines

INTERIOR
restitched the corbeau cr1's with black vinyl and silver suede
corbeau 3 point harnesess
black carpet from acc mats
silver suede on door panels
aluminum dash bezel
interior switched from blue to black
black vinyl headliner and rear deck
amp rack mounted behind rear seat (wasn't 100% finished for the show)

audio im still working on, didnt have time to get to finishing the fiberglass trunk do to all the other changes.

ended up taking home first place in sunfire mild at the bash.

Looks great, those rims are PERFECT for the car. 2003 lights look so much better than the older style.

I think the CF rear bezel would look good at the back though, kinda break up the silver a little.

Otherwise, its freaken perfect.

You already know what I think J.. I love it. Whats the next step for it? Besides the audio of course.

Car looks good in pictures, but they don't do the justice as much as seeing it in person! Congrats on the 1st place too!

Looks awesome. The only thing I can think of that would make it look better is an 03+ Sunfire Front end.

I really like that interior, everything looks great in there. Not a huge fan of large body kits, but it's still very nicely done.

bomex 03 cavalier sedan yeah the header is bad, i need to find a cover for it, dont want to spend the money on it since im looking into a motor swap.

dave dunsmoor. im liking the look and wouldnt do carbon fiber unless i carried it over to other parts of the car. just having one piece of carbon fiber on the whole car would stick out.


brennan, i really dont car for the new front ends that much.


darkstars. most of the interior is just sanded down and painted, didnt need to use fiberglass on most of it. the amp rack is fiberglass and i used some local marine fiberglass, wasnt to much impressed with it, seemed no diffrent then the cheap bondo stuff, for my next batch i'll probalby order off of us composites site. for body filler ive just started using rage gold and that stuff is nice, its a bit thinner then the bondo brand filler, so it spreads easy, and its allot easier to sand, so saves time. i got it locally from car quest.


nj's honda killer. i was in the mild class. im pretty much on the edge now between mild and wild. i wasnt sure which class i was going to end up at. allot of shows say u need two items to be put into wild. my shaved eyelids would be the first, so im assuming the next thing i shave will dump me into wild.
