Last night was cruise night in Port Huron, Michigan. HUNDREDS of cars turned out to cruise as well as park and hang out. It was a GREAT time with vehicles of all shapes and sizes... everything from retired military half tracks to dodge vipers. Every type of car you can imagine rolled out last night and it was simply amazing. This was also the only night where you could legally drive with underglow on, and a LOT of people took advantage of that. The street was like a multitude of colors as it got dark out, it was quite a sight!
Driving to the cruise.. you can see people already starting to line up even though it's raining. It rained really hard the hour before the cruise officially kicked off.. I wasn't sure if it would be a washout or not, but traffic was already backing up, so obviously the rain wasn't going to damper the spirit of the event
Fortunately the rain stopped as things got underway, and it couldn't have been a more beautiful night!
I met up with some guys and we parked along the strip to watch the action.
... and it begins
Traffic didn't let up for the rest of the night until the cops shut it down sometime around 11.. there were a few breaks here and there because of burnouts holding up traffic down the road, and also because the streetlights were still functioning.
A lot of the cars in the pic are just stock common everyday cars, thats because the cruise is for everybody. It's not an official, structured event, its just a bunch of people and a bunch of cars having a good time. You'll see everything from stock daily drivers to track driven drag cars. It's awesome.

Awesome night! I wish I had more pictures turn out though.. Good too see some J-Bodies roll out too.. though I don't know if any of them are members of this board. This was my first time doing the cruise, and I must say, I loved it.

'cept cops are out and pullin people over for the stupidest things now cuz someone got killed by "street racing" they say.

Yeah, I live just outside of Port Huron on the Marysville side.
I didn't know about the cruise either, my buddy with the neon (that parked next to me) told me about it. We also went up by the Big Boy in Fort Gratiot last night (the one by Birchwood Mall) to check out the burnouts. Apparently the night after Cruise Night a bunch of nice cars head up that way and park along the road, and when it gets dark some of them do burnouts for the crowd... but the cops shut it down before it even began. They were EVERYWHERE.. despite that there were still some people in beater vehicles that did burnouts anyway and were promptly handed tickets, lol.. so it wasn't a complete waste
All in all a GREAT weekend!

I am planning to change a few things though... like the headlights. I have custom projectors ordered
I MIGHT get a hood too, but I'm not 100% sure on that... the exterior is pretty much finished though.. now I need to start saving for performance and comfort mods

or it's just people trying to get somewhere and getting pissed because they're stuck in traffic
i try to avoid PH as much as possible lol downtown mt clemens cruises are the @!#$ though, but of course its mainly for older cars
yeah traffic in Port Huron can be pretty crazy, Arnjolt can attest to that lol. He came up a few weeks ago to buy my z3 fenders and was pretty shocked about the traffic trying to get from the expressway to Birchwood mall.
I've never been to a Mt.Clemens cruise, might have to check that out. I'm not surprised its primarily for older cars though.. pretty much everything around here is geared toward classics and antiques.
w00t your car is hot man... i love every little thing, except it needing a mild drop. but i can vouche for you there. the roads here suck too. i love the graphics man. keep it up!
