A cherry bomb is NOT a resonator......it's a glasspack. A resonator like the one that's stock on your j-body does not have any packing material in it. It's a piece of metal with a bunch of metal sound chambers in it. The glasspack has actual fiberglass packing material in it.
If you're correct in saying that what you have there is indeed a non-packed resonator, it's gonna sound real good if you're replacing your stock resonator and cat with that.
If that is indeed a glasspack instead of a metal resonator, hehe.......have fun with the nasty sound you're gonna get out of it.
I know this because I have a 35" "glasspack" on my car that I assumed was the same thing as a "resonator." ASSuME!!

Its a metal resonator, no glass material inside. I already have the RK single exhaust, the magnaflow 94035 cat is on backorder. No more partial stock exhaust for me! I can't wait to hear what it sounds like now, I think it will be a little louder now due to the header but, deeper due to the resonator. WHat do you guys think?
