first winter project

well, its only a few teaser pics, but i got a new gauge bezel, strait from GM(thanks to Streaker) that im puting my air ride gauges in. i got anxious tonight after work, and decided to start one of the many projects i have to do. heres the start of the fiberglassing. only one layer down so far, but should be done soon hopefully. enjoy........

Looks good.....Only thing I would have suggested is to scuff the plastic up a bit around where the fiberglass is being applied.......Keep the updates coming.......

^^^thanks. i actually did scuff it up where pretty much all the glass is and drill holes, but there is a little extra around the edges that that wasnt scuffed, but that will be sanded down.

j/w what did you pay for that part? I saw to guys bidding on ebay for that part, winning bit was like 75 bucks..

i got it with a employee discount at GM for 70 bucks

looking good eazy

be careful with the glass in the bends mine cracked when i put it in the car. but it was an easy fix

im gonna try and do a few more layers tonight. i did that last night in my basment, and it stunk the whole damn house up, lol. so i'll be going to the parents house to use their garage for the next few layers. hope to have it filled and sanded by this weekend. ill post more pics when i get further.

the top and bottom of the cig lighter mostly up where the gauges are. i also had a problem on the bottom of the radio but you wount have that one the problems were from taking out and putting it back in so many times. but im not done with mine so it didnt really matter to me. better now then when painted.

little update. added filler, and did a little sanding. still needs alot of sanding and evening. enjoy......
