Haven't been here long, and don't know too many people here. I just wanted to say thanks for the help that I have recieved from many people on here. Too many people to list but everyone who answered my questions about suspension, brakes and boost, my hat's off to you. I'm not giving up on my sunfire totally, I am keeping it for a bit but it's modding days are over. Unfortunately it's gonna be a winter car for awhile.
As for the "newest" car in my life, I'll be picking it up this weekend, 01 Mustang Bullitt (dark highland green).
The Bullitt is the car I have wanted ever since I heard they were making it in 2000.
Besides my satisfying a dream it's a fully loaded car with a little more go vs the sunfire.
No complaints about my sunfire though, it's been a nice ride and I will allways have admiration for those who mod cars, especially J's. It's been a long haul of decision making leading up to today but I feel good about it.
Anyways, on to the pics of the sunfire as I remember it, some pics are blurry so I apologize for their quality.
Merry Christmas to all, and thanks for the memories.
well, you had a nice fire going there, but good luck with the stang. if ya wanna sell anything off the fire, shoot me a PM
RIP Kasey Burleson, and get well soon Chris Shelly
How much power do the Bullitt's have?
So where's the pics of the Mustang?
Car looked great. Sorry to see ya go. Good luck in the future.

275hp 305tq, not too much more than a stock Mustang GT but it gets better with simple bolt on's even better with a Kenne Bell S/C

I'm picking it up this Saturday and storing it til April, so pics next week.
Everyone else thanks for the comments, I appreciate them.
I am anti-FORD but I would buy a 06 Roush-charger Mustang if I had to buy any FORD.
unfortunatly all Mustangs become a dime a dozen, they say they only make a few of these and those then... they are everywhere, look at the Cobras.

I wanted something that was fast without having to sell a kidney to get into.
Unfortunately, I have to live within my means so the Roush is out of my leauge.
Why don't you like Ford anyway?
good luck w/ the new project....
j"s make good daily drivers!
I have been working on cars since I was 13 years old, and that was almost 20 years ago, I have never had soo many problems with any other car then FORDS, suspension, exhaust, transmissions, steering(the worst nightmare of them all), best part about them is the motors.
A mustang just seems to put out more noise then HP, every one of my 383 strokers I have built destroyed any motor I could build compairable in price by ford ( I built a nice 351 W, when I was 19, then I moved to Phoenix and my dad scrapped the truck I had the motor stored in, $7000 motor given to a junk yard for $50.00
).
you didn't block out the license plate in picture #1..
anyways..good luck with the new car
to bad you gotta go but atleast you got a good car. those mustangs are fun to drive
Good decision. The Mustang will be fun and the Sunfire looks clean as-is. Good luck with it
Kross: Definately respect your opinion but sooo many people have had the best experience with recent Stangs/Fords and are happy with them. Yeah the pintos exploded which gave Ford a bad reputation overall. Let's not forget GM's 5.7 L LF9 and 4.3 L LF7 Diesel V8's and all of the nightmares they caused in the late 70's and 80's (buy one, boom, buy one, boom and so forth). GM's diesel engines never recovered from that and are almost nonexistant today. What I'm saying is that every car manufacturer has had it's own problems but they did not apply to the whole lineup.
Most of the motors you had trouble with are not available on today's Mustangs.
Not raggin on you but you see what I'm getting at? To each his own.
I'm still happy with my decision, the Bullitt is an upgrade in every sense of the word.
T2: yeah I goofed on that one but I dont care, plates are changing anyway.
I'm picking up the Bullitt tomorrow so maybe pics before it's stored (in other car forum of course).
As for everyone else thanks again for the well wishes, it really means alot.
How can you say that GM's diesel is almost non-existant? Just about every silverado out there now is a Duramax Diesel. My dad's got an 05 dualy so I mean they aren't almost non-existant, most diesels are making a comeback.
^^^^Because duramax isn't made by GM it's made by DMAX which is owned by Isuzu and recently bought out by GM.
You can look it up.
