It's been a while....remember the Mallow?
Wednesday, December 14, 2005 10:23 AM
hey all it has been a while since i posted anything on the board. I sold my car in the summer of 04 and got into a Jetta 1.8T

anyways i noticed that styles have changed and cars that i now dont think look that good, look good to everyone else.

is the clean look out?
here is some of the last pics i ever took of the mallow.
is it still Hott?

the new ride (suspension is in the basement....1.75" drop)

and i know Joe will see this so have you seen the car rolling lately.
peace out.

I am going with a mild drop due to the crappy MI roads. my 2"+ drop on the cav was just too much for me. and yes i am on the vortex

my bro still has his cav...sitting in pieces as we speek. he blew his engine at the track and is in the process of re-building it.
wesco pistons(8:1 compression i think)
eagle rods
port and polish job
Even bigger shot of Nitrous
and still using the supercharger.

Good stuff! I haven't seen the car lately, though a friend sees it once in a while, new owner sounds like a prick though from what I've heard.

Funny to see you post, as I was thinking of purchasing a Jetta 1.8T for a fun car to drive around daily. A local dealership just got in a silver '03 with 26k, leather, 17's, the works....they're asking a bit much though.

I'll most likely wait until Spring/Summer comes and go from there. I have a few other cars I'm considering.

Good to hear the new owner is a tool....is he saying he did all the work or what?

and you should get a jetta or GTI...the 1.8T is a great engine. I have rougly a grand into the engine and i have over 200whp and still get 35mpg on the highway and about 28 in the city. It runs soo smooth that you wouldnt know it is tuned untill you stomp on it.

plus this car was faster stock than my cav ever was(damn auto trans)

I would love to get coilovers but the funds are a little tight due to the $275/month car payment and school and all.

Plus i am going OEM+ for the look so a mild drop will do for me.

yeah it is the stock rear bumper...the reasong for the stockness is b/c the bomex is Real ugly and i couldnt make up my mind between an 2000+rear with WW Wtype lip or the Drift rear. and by the time I decided to go with the drift it was too late.

Clean is hot. The problem is most cars on here are people that want to stand out and put as much crap as they can on their cars. First rk kit was the best kit (with use of intercooler of course) and as far as your drop on the jetta, lowering is always a must but slamming is gay unless you are at a real track or a show car (real show car. Not bobs drive in show). Good choice witg the turbo four.

dreams are useless if you do not possess the abilties required to make them your reality.
