little bit a color difference, but nice. i loved shaved everything.
i'm baaaaack!!
did u just put magnetic things over the holes? that looks horrible dude... hopefully a paint job is in the near future?
Thats primer....kinda happens when you do body work. All you have is bolt on crap, so you wouldnt know anything about having body work done.....

I've never seen primer in perfect squares.
Im not ready to primer my entire car, so I just primered the areas where it was shaved.
yea, its cleaner imo when ya tape off anare around the work to be primered. NICE WORK BRO!
IM A GIRL FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!!!

Its not good to hardline those areas like that. After its painted alot of times you can see the hardlines still. Its better to blend it in.

Yes, she's a female. So how about giving her some respect, themarin8r.
Anyways...
Definitely like everything being shaved on your cav. It's a great start and i'm looking forward to seeing what else you do to it

ok you have to understand this place is just like Myspace and Livejournal great place to meet people but riddled with @!#$s. When you post picture you have to take the bad with the good. And yes i know it's usally the people that don't have @!#$ done to thier cars that talk the most sh!t, but you just got to deal with it sometimes

Whats it going to matter? The whole car is going to be block sanded and finished when painted...
Sommer wrote:Thats primer....kinda happens when you do body work. All you have is bolt on crap, so you wouldnt know anything about having body work done.....
not only is it all bolt on, but he bought it that way. anyways, i think it looks good. just needs a little paint. good work.
I don't see how her car being primered matters? If she plans on doing more work to it why would she go have it painted just to paint it over again? Come on give a break almost everyone has primer on there car at one point or another. Nice job
i like the clean look
but one tip from a pro of 15 yrs never ever tape off primer like you did even when it`s blocked and re primed you will see the box you taped off
so next time let mask off the area bigger and avoid maxing a box
can i haz bondo
hurra for shaved cars, looks sweet
i know after i shaved my handels/locks/spoiler i just plain fell in love with the look of it. btw what are you running for door poppers?
my question is from your other post i saw, you only had the metal tacked in place is that how it stayed and you did you body work over that or did you weld up the whole thing?
R.I.P. Brian Klocke, you will never be forgotten
great start sommer, whats next?
Boosted2point4 wrote:my question is from your other post i saw, you only had the metal tacked in place is that how it stayed and you did you body work over that or did you weld up the whole thing?
If u do bead welds u will warp the area... to much heat.. so spot welds are needed.. u do spot welds like every 2in or more depending on area, let it cool off, come back and do another set of spot welds between those, and it keeps going till its mostly welded up.. When i shaved my trunk i spent easily over a hour spot welding each inner taillight plate..(that was with cooling time also)
Now sommer, i love it! Shaven is hot. Good luck with the future mods of the car but u started out good.
MAN people are looking to far into this she shaved her car and it looks hot for a 4 dr. and she's just starting leave it be and let the final product show what she can do .... and if she did the body work her self in filling all the holes and actually poppin out the door handles and locks thats awesome...... don't have any girl friends who can do that all they know is pump gas...
LOOKS SWEET!
