i put 3 layers of glass on my dash and it came out great i also deleted my cig lighter
just make sure you drilled holes, and do a little glass on the back to keep it secure
RIP Kasey Burleson, and get well soon Chris Shelly

Thanks again for the good comments.
Eazy: That's lookin pretty good. What is that stuff on top of the glass? Bondo? Im prolly gunna put 2 more layers on tomorrow and call it a day. What happens after that?

ya, thats body filler on top.
RIP Kasey Burleson, and get well soon Chris Shelly
Here is a small update. 4 layers down now. I think that's plenty. Im gunna start sanding, then I guess I put body filler on top? Im new to this process so any help is well.... helpfull. If i dont put body filler will it come out alright? I plan on priming it and then painting over the whole thing.
There is also a picture of the back, kinda hard to see but i drilled a bunch of small holes for added support. I think that's how you are supposed to do it anyway lol....

The progress on the dash looks good so far.
Keep it up!

You dont 'need' bodyfiller but it makes it easier to get the texture of the glass out. It is also easier to sand and you will get a smoother surface. For being a beginner you can lay glass prety damn smooth
Keep up the good work guys.
