The hole in the trunk is covered with plexiglass and there are blue neons on the sides as well as in front of the rear strut bar all hidden. They are 2 JL w3s 12" polk momo interiors powered by a alpine v12 550x1 mono for the subs, as well as a 500x4 alpine v12 for the mids and highs.
The car started out as a winter car so I wouldnt have to drive my lowrider ford ranger but then i of course had the modding bug already in me and it rebit me again.
My motor is almost done with what i want to do to it, my suspension is set, and im finally getting to the body. As you can see we fitted the Type J front on last night, originally from phlatcav but then i purchased it from sami. Also fitting on a fully shaved trunk, stock not glassed, with a wings west commando spoiler. Once i figure out how to post pics on my own i will do a progress layout. Please leave more comments good and bad I am interested to see what the thoughts are on here as no one in town can give me comment because no one mods cavis out here :-( thanks again for posting for me!
where did the type j come from?
looks good, the only thing I don't like is the mounting of the subs... the W3's just don't look impresive enough to mount cone down IMO
The type J originally was yours then i bought it off of sami ( tsw ribs, maroon car )
The W3s the dust shield kept rattleing so we ripped them off and inverted the subs. Now you cant see it and they sound just as good.
Mods so far are
Upper and lower motor mounts
front and rear tranny mounts
ngk plugs 1 stage colder
accel wires
pacesetter ceramic 4-1 header
magnaflow high flow cat
magnaflow catback single
aem cold air intake
rsm lightweight crank pulley
rsm lightweight alternator pulley
and i have more goodies in the mail
brakes are powerslot slotted rotors with Hawk carbon pads
suspension is kyb gr2 struts with h&r springs 1.4/1.6
front and rear strut bars
interior is cf dimmerswitch/fuse door/door inserts/arm rest/gauge bezel/hvac panel, and soon to be dashtop
HID 8000k kit with relays from the GP
looking for a set of black housing headlights if someone wants to make me some or sell a set
also not pictured is a fully shaved trunk with WW commando spoiler with 3rd brakelight.
Hope to have it finished this summer to be able to go to the bash. please keep suggestions coming good and bad
