Welcome!
Now update your reg.......what are your plans?

I have one true love in my life...And my girlfriend sits next to me in it

no I shall not update my reg... I'd prefer to confuse people like I've been doing for the past 3 months while collecting ecotec parts

Anyways... plans are high compression ecotec, lots of nitrous, fabbed alum intake, ls1 tb, custom header, @!#$loads of head work, and to max out the ol' visa on a standalone of some sort... right now an MSD Prog 7 plus, Eco distrib, HVC coil (about $1300 from summit), and a megasquirt to handle fuel is winning that race... but I'm still considering a Tec3.

Current mods for the eco are:
LZM Stage II cams
GM Cam gears to remove some of the lope that throws CELs
SPEC Stage 3 clutch
TeamGreen LSD

Major and I mean major props go out to level zero, I know they get bashed alot but they've been great to work with throughout this ordeal (parts arriving late, taking forever to get the LSD installed).

hey baldy!

forgot to mention that the eco has an LZM balance shaft delete kit... and to finish givin props to Karo, SpeedRacerZ, and the rest of BCJers for makin this all happen. I'm as excited as a school girl right now.

Its been a long ordeal, a month late parts not getting sold after getting the verbal handshake (anyone need a freaking 2.4 long block with 60000kms?!)

Now all I need is money and time, not gonna be done for when the local track first opens but I'm hoping its broken in, somewhat tuned, and ready to rock by May.

Nice swap...

I'd think twice about those LZM camshafts though...

What year motor and computer are you using?

He did have them, then he uninstalled them cause he was throwing codes and gains were all that great...

i hope my JBP supercharge grind cams show good gains with the rebuild and headwork

the motor, tranny, and ecu are out of a 2004. $600cdn but they were clueless idiots and it we've had to go back several times to get more parts (need an upper mount, rad hoses still)

as for your thoughts on the cams... meh. thats the purpose of the cam gears until I get the standalone... remove some of the overlap so the ECU doesnt freak. Eventually, I'll probably end up getting a custom grind designed to work in the 4500-7500 rpm range.

people have gotten these cams working before, and I refuse to follow the masses, another boosted ecotec would be no fun now would it. Jason (04firetec) had 90+mph timeslips with the cams, an exhaust, CAI, and some very mild headwork.

Jeez...4500 - 7500 RPM range...you're talking about shifting your powerband way up there. I'd be careful bro cause I bet you'll lose more torque than you would want to by doing that. Hopefully the high compression will help with that.

And boosted cars not fun? I highly doubt that
