Winter Progression. Big updates! (12 pics)
Saturday, January 28, 2006 4:04 PM
Well i'm sure some of you knew i was going to be done with the J scene and move on in life, but then the girl who i was dating showed a womens true colors....yea... lets not go there. So i said F them and i once again picked up where i left off...

Picked these up from SKIP here..

Turbo Tech racing's BAER decela GP rotors and Hawk Pads...

Pacesetter Armor coated header...

Aerogear OEM Carbon Fiber hood and Fender off a JBO member!

I have these wheels on order through wheelmax in 18"s with a 45mm offset.

And i also have the BC2 kit on order through Jason @ Aplusperformance which is also on backorder lol... So i have been really busy catching up. I still need tires for the rims, and i would also like to get the VIS CF trunk and CF prostock. But we'll see.. Work the next few weeks has cut my hrs due to the offseason. Should be there by summers end.

Comments welcome!

those fenders are most likely just metal with CF wrapped over them... so painting them would be a weird choice.

they are strickly for show. unless im mistaken.

Thanks for the comments everyone...

Aaron- Thanks for the deals on the parts man, header, rotors and pads!

themarin8r- No i am not going to paint them, i am going to have them clear coated though since right now they only have a UV coat and one of the fender has a cosmetic chip and a few small spider cracking running away from it, so thats another reason i am getting then clear coated.

Qwik2k2z24- They are the same as every other carbon fiber product i've seen with Fiberglass base and then Carbon Fiber laid over that. So they are not metal and no where near as heavy as metal.

Spencer- What can i say man, i loved how the CF hood looked on your car at the glenn so i too got one, but i love CF soo much i am going all out in it. I just hope i can get the front bumper covered in CF other wise i am just going to have to stick with the splitter BC2 makes for the kit. I don't care about the girl prolems anymore, i wasn't allowed to go all out before since i would hear nothing but criticism for everything i did. Now its on!

yea... i figure that if i'm the one working hard for the money, i should be able to spend it how i want to... hence why you'll see some changes come spring time... i already have a pile of parts lying around... i'm just keeping things under wraps until it's all installed.

all that cf is gonna look hot though!

My ex had those type of fenders on her honda accord, they seemed really... tinny like thin metal with a wrap on them. I could of probably kicked them and put my foot through the fender..

I want to get them all installed ASAP, but the only thing rendering me from doing that is one of the fenders has small chip in one of the corners where the wheel well meets the front bumper. I want to get that fixed before i install them. I hope its nothing more than a body shop sanding, using a little clear epoxy resin, sanding some more, wet sand then clear coat. I want to have all the CF parts wet sanded to remove the faded layer off them from the UV coat and then all clear coated. I have a post in ther exterrior section about it, but no one seems to know anything if its fixable in the pics.
