The cold air intake i found on a wrecked sunfire in the junkyard paid $5 for it not bad lol
i no it dont look to good the motor needs to be cleaned and i might change out the stock tube. ill power wash the motor in the spring and go from there on what to change.
nice, but the only thing you're gonna want to do is sandblast the black paint off the header before you throw it on your car. You will smell burning paint for almost an entire week, before it finally burns ALL the paint off.
If you can, get a can of high heat paint from a local car parts store, and spray it with that so as to 'slow' the rusting down a bit.
I had the same black paint on mine, and I'm glad I got it sandblasted.

thanks ill do that. how hard is it to put the header on. i have to make the wires for the o2 sencer longer is that a hard job?
buddy of mine got a painted hear (never did install it) and ceramic coated it himself....you could try that also......
when it comes to the header install, I have been told its fairly easy other then taking the header bolts out...if one breaks have fun.....I have been told to spray on dergreaser on the header bolts every day or so for a week then do the install. makes the bolts come out easier and therefore shouldn't break.

i heard that if you lenghten the wires for the O2 sensor, do not lengthen the wire on the sensor, but rather lengthen the car side of the harness becuase the sensor needs a specific resistance and messing with its wires will screw it up

Looks good, I made the mistake of smelling burning paint for about 4 days lol. I thought my car was on fire the first time I drove home lol.
yea i hope to get it on this weekend but i parked the sunfire for the rest of the winter im driveing a 96 escort till then. so ill run the car so the smell goes away so it dont stink up my garage. is there any tricks to make it easy to do?
yea, blast your damn header before you install it!
the header is on its a open down pipe right now till i bring it to the muffler shop tomorrow. its so loud im haveing my mom fallow me incase i get pulled over for my car being so loud. the pipes are connected put theres a little gap so its really loud. ill have pics of it on sometime this week
