First pic's on the org!
Saturday, February 11, 2006 3:52 PM
Hello all. This is my first time posting pictures of my car on the org. Yes, it's pretty much stock. But I plan to slowly but surely change that as time goes on. What I'd like from all of you are suggestions on what I should do next to this car. Suggestions of destroying the car are not welcome. Mods are listed in the registry.

I'll post pictures of my underbody LED's later tonight when I take pictures of them.

Anyway, on with the pictures.

Yep, I'm a 4x4 cavy.

My 2000W Lanzar Heritige 1ohm stable amp. And yes, the wiring is MESSY. Need to clean it up soon.

American Bass XD's. These things hit pretty hard.

Thinking of clear corners and a CF invader hood. Whatcha think?

Wheel gap adds HORSEPOWER! Not really.

Partially shaved, I just like the "Cavalier LS" there.

Dirty interior, It's pretty much going to stay like it is. I might get some different seats but I won't be painting the dash pieces.

Anyway, thats it. Suggestions on future mods are welcome. Lowering is not an option because of my location. Neither is a body kit. I'd be scraping and hitting stuff all day. I guess that's what I get for liviing in a hick-town meant for lifted trucks

Sorry for double post, here's the one that didn't work.

i think a cf hood wouldn't look bad. i think they look really good on dark blue cars. i would say paint the mirrors and door handles the match the car, and although you said you can't lower it because of where you live you can always do coil overs or air ride so you can adjust the height. air ride's definitely an easier, faster adjustment. and personally i would scrap the floor mats and steering wheel cover, but that's just my opinion. good luck with whatever you decide to do.

Thanks for the advice. I'll definately look into getting the door handles and mirrors painted to match. The car is also in desperate need of a touch up. It's got a scratches galore. :-(

Anyway, on to the underbody pic's. They're a little dark, but what do you expect? Pictures don't do these things justice because they're brighter than they actually look in the pictures.

These are the 7 color LED underbody lights that I got from the A+ performance GP a while back. Thanks jason! They also have 10 different flash patterns.

Guess you're just too lazy to click on a link then. I'll post them again from the new webshots host.

The black wire bunched up in the rear seat is gone as of today, so the amp wiring isn't AS messy. Tips on cleaning it up further? I was planning on getting some type of bracket and mounting the capacitor just below my amp.

I think mounting the capacitor is a great idea.

1 farad capacitor rolling around in the trunk = not cool and fairly dangerous

^^ Agreed. The wiring and amp setup kinda looks like ass, no offense. I'd run the wires under the carpet to make them look neat. And definately mount that capacitor somewhere. You definately don't want the positive somehow hitting the negative. Believe me, it will scare the $hit out of you and leave lots of smoke!! And its not healthy for the audio setup either.

Currently have no plans to lower it unless I can get air-ride. And that'll be one hell of an investment. Rims are at the top of my "to get" list.

This is my daily driver, so stuff has to stay somewhat functional. The amp wiring looks like ass, yes I completely agree. I'm at a loss for how to run all those wires underneath the carpet of the back-seat however. I'll need to put the backseat up and down whenever needed, so I don't know how well that would work out with wires hanging out of it. I will look more into this during the summer however.

I don't think the capacitor will fit below the amplifier when I fold the seat back up, so I might mount it in the space between the back-seat and the sub box. I have no worries about the negative touching the positive as of right now because I'm using ring terminals. So unless one of the wires pop out of the terminal I'm okay.

I'm interested in painting the headliner to match the carpet. Also interested in getting a couple CF accents and diamond plate floor mats. I love the feel of my steering wheel cover so I don't know if that'll go or not.

Sorry that everything is so dirty, I live on a dirt road and keeping the damn thing clean is a full-time job in itself, so often times it doesnt get done.

Thanks for the comments and keep the suggestions comming. :-)

Looks ricey to me. Not lowered, neons, wheel cover, missing hub covers, floor mats, terrible wiring..... Beauty lies in the eye of the beholder.

Oh the headliner: Vinyl spray die works good.

They are underneath the dash. Well, just about as underneath it as they can go anyway. I think the angle kinda makes them look like they're out more than they are.
