Fresh Powder

Well i finally got around to working on the HO manifold i got from ruen (ryan) a few months back. The manifold was grinded down of all useless nubs im not going to use and sandblasted to hell, then powdercoated flat black. While i was at it i figured i would do my hood hinges too since my hood and the top of my fenders are both black as well.

For my next project to free up some space in the engine bay for some future pipes (cough cough) i needed to reloacte the battery. Well i said screw buying tons of wire and a battery box, and terminals and all sorts of other crap. So what i did was drill out the stock battery tray and moved it up and over a few inches then bolted it back down. Ill let the pics to the talking

thanks to MyZcar for help and the info he gave me.

i took the nubs off and grinded them down myself, its not hard at all. Just take a strong cutting wheel to most of it and then a hard grinding wheel to the rest of it, when you get down to where its all gone go over it at very low speeds to sort of blend in the area around it to make it all smooth.

^^ Thanks man, sounds easy enough. I was just worried about going through one of the runners lol.. I'll do like you said, take most of it off then go back over it slowly at low speeds..

yeah i just took the knobs off of my ho mani today and it took all of 30 mins. it took me more time to go and purchase my grinder then to take em off. i just used a cut off wheel tho a grinding wheel would have been a lot of help then after i was done i took some jb well and used it as filler for some scratches so friday i can sand it smooth like a babys butt

I just started on taking the nubs down yesterday. It takes too long with a grinding disc, I need to go get a cutoff wheel to cut most of it off then grind the rest down.. This is the first time I've used a grinder lol..
