So a little while ago I bought an
ECOTEC valve cover on eBay and sent it off to Jet-Hot so they could put their Sterling coating on it.
When I got it back it looked like this:
Today I finally had a chance to intall it! The only problem was the stupid book I have was written for 2002 ECOTEC not 2003+ so some of the brackets/bolts I had to remove were different.
Have to say I think it came out pretty sweet and hasn't leaked any oil yet so thats good too!
Anyway on to the pics!

holy @!#$e that looks awesome
Who do we contact on getting one done, turn around time and how much? Because that looks damn good! I'd like to get my valve cover done!
damn man that looks so sweet good work
yea how do we contact them and how much did it run you?
You can concact jet hot on their site with a description of what you want coated and they will email you back with a quote with shipping included for both ways to and from. I got quoted 95.00 plus 15.00 shipping for a turbo manifold so i dont know about the cover.
Wow i have the same thing but mine is polished and covered with clear powder coat.
I think i paid around 130 plus you ship your stock one back to them and they send you 50 bucks.
i was so gonna do that
, but i got bored and starting polising
what is the reason to gettin something jet- hot coated?

Copy Cat... wonder who gave you that Idea? Looks great tommy!
Me want! Me want!!!
Did you send Jet Hot a spare valve cover or did you take the one of your motor and send it in? If it was a spare, where did you find it at? Just curious...

That looks pretty good. I just had mine done as well, excpet I got mine powdercoated red..
Looks great... certaintly more durable than polish... and nearly as shiney. Get the fuel rail coated too... it just doesnt look right with that ugly sand-cast finish.
I've heard you can stain jethot so be careful when doing oilchanges!
Now I gotta kick the gf outside to finish polishing cover and rail... scratched the 90% done fuel rail to @!#$ installing the header. DOH.
Thanks for all the comments people!
Steve you just got yours ceramic coated so I didn't exactly copy you I just built on the same idea.
They charged me 67 dollars to put their Sterling fishish on the cover and ship it back to me.
I would say shipping it to them cost about 20-25 buxs but I cant remember.
So about $85 dollars plus the cost of buying the spare valve cover.
I am trying to recover some of the cost by selling my original valve cover on eBay though.

Forgot a few things hold on . . . .
I was thinking about getting mine done in red since it seems to be a theme under the hood but I am happy with the route I have taken.
I really was thinking about doing the fuel rail as well its funny you mentioned that.
When you get something Jet-Hot coated it helps to reduce the temperature and it is a very durable finish as well.
They normall do headers but will do most anything made out of metal for a price. For headers they coat them inside and out but the valve cover was only done on the outside since it is strictly for looks.
http://www.Jet-Hot.com is their website they have an aera called get an estimate where they will send you a quote on whatever you want done.

Looks very nice. And the prices weren't too bad either...
I might do this as well, I have had a spare cover and it takes forever to polish it. I should just spend the money and be done with it, I probably will never finish it anyway.

Sorry, I'm a bit tired and sometimes overlook details.

Looks good but it won't stay that pretty forever. In a year it will be dull.
