Engine swap progress thread.

Nothing exciting... just a 2.4 to a new 2.4 crate motor. The reason for the swap is revealed in the pics, obviously.

So why am I pulling it? There's a tiny little crack on the block here...

And I guess this isn't too good either...

So I yanked out the unnecessary stuff....
Header...

Intake Mani...

Here's where she's at now...

Well, remember that plastic hunk of junk intake manifold? What would look better?
Maybe this...

More pics next night I have off work... probably Saturday afternoon. Comments welcome.

if you dont mind me asking how much did you pay for your crate motor and where did you get one? and also what is that manifold thing is it for a 2.4 are there any other mods needed to use it or is it just a plug and play?

CAV2NV420: The motor was 1906 and change to my door. The manifold requires an adapter flange, EGR blockoff plate& gasket, some vacuum hose, and a breather filter.
