can't wait to get it put on and painted. just one of the many changes to come this spring.

Into the RK valance you mean?? Just take a tape measure to it and go to Auto Zone, PepBoys, etc until you find one that fits the tightest Looks nice IMO, mold in the lip It'll look uber-hawt then

that is what it was designed for. RKSport had that lip and a grill set that went together nicely. you move your stock fogs to the lower valance, and get the 6pc grill set to cut out the bars in the bumper and leaves mesh cutouts. Was very nice and the look I wanted long ago.

Nice choice on valance.

here you go, $60 for two factory fog lights, and free shipping.
clicky

dirty elf -

maybe the hole in the middle is so I can still run over road kill, and that they pass under my front bumper... lol

James - thanks for the link! oh and here is a pic of my RK grille inserts

I haven't got a chance to get them to fit perfectly yet. I think they will look good in the new bumper with the RK valance (once I have a chance to play with em)

I don't believe RK sells the grille inserts any longer, at least I couldn't find 'em last time I looked.

dam thats cheaper than i paid for my driving lights

i paid like 75 shipped , and it was the cheapest i could find for new 1's

i kinda miss that lip , the center of the stock 02 Z24/LS sport lip has alot of scratches for hitting parking bumps

yeah, I got mine when they clearanced priced them. Now that I think about it though it might have been easier (and less expensive) just to do a custom mesh.

I am debating on installing them into my new bumper. maybe I'll customize them a bit first.

this might be a newbie question, but when it comes to painting, I am one.

should I sand and prime the kit then get it painted after it is installed. or should I get it painted first and then install it?

I would test fit it at the very least Than again, I prefer molded, so obviously that needs to be done before paint, and than I'd get the whole thing painted as one (since it would be molded into one piece, of course). For that kind of money, there probably won't be any fitment problems, but it's always good to make sure before you paint it.

I will probably have a body shop do the whole thing...this is just something I want to leave to the pros. (especially the paint) I guess I am deciding whether or not to install it myself. I think I could handle it, but like you said, it would look better molded.
I will at least sand and prime it myself...that will save the body shop time and possibly save me some $$

I have never done any body work. I assume you mean with Bondo or fiberglass?
Re: RK Sport Ground FX and new OEM bumper

Regular bondo can't be used for any application requiring more than 1/8" thick of bondo. That would def be F/G, and there's some othe alternatives too (epoxy & F/G mat is my personal fav). It's really not too hard to do, after a few minutes workin' on it you'll be real comfortable with it And save yourself another 2-300 bucks probably Body shops ain't cheap!!
