Eazy's latest progress (56k run away)
Friday, March 31, 2006 8:31 PM
well, ive been motivated by the decent weather to wanna drive my car after 6 long months, so i got a lil done the past few days. still waiting on my harness bar, coming soon from RD Fabs

heres the 100 sq. ft. of fatmat i recently put in. whoever says 100 ft will cover the car i think smokes rock, lol. i didnt finish all of the firewall, part of the floor, the doors, and part of the roof. i guess im just anal when installing, lol. but i just recieved another 120 sq. ft.

heres where im at with the rear seat box. i put another 2 full layers of glass on today. a few more layers, and onto the sanding

heres the false floor in the trunk, which connects to the rear seat sub box. with the interior pieces in, this whole setup fits perfectly. im not sure how i did it, lol, but i managed it somehow. musta been all the miller lite
.

heres the tub for the air tank. it will be recessed at an angle into the false floor

and last but not least, my new Weapon-R racing harness'..............mmmmmmmmmm

hope you enjoyed....more to come....

told you to get more man

and now that its pretty much to late. one late suggestion on the box. is do your first two layers on the outside, then flip the box upside down (dont have abottom on it) then you could do all your layers on the inside of the box, this will keep the outside from getting worse and worse shaped as you add all your layers. but kinda to late now.

thanks for the comments so far guys

sndsgood - i actually cut a hole in the bottom, and got 1 layer on the inside. fully covered in resin, and mostly covered in mat, lol. but that is a damn good thought. wish i would have thought about it more in the beginning, lol. oh well, i guess i just have a lot more sanding to do.

ya i got the g/p sound deadner 100 ft and i still need to do the doors and the headliner. got the trunk and the inside fllor and the side by the rear seat. a few sections in the trunk i did double, but still wouldnt have had enough for the doors and headliner. looking good easy. i hope to get air by the end of the month and im still looking for ideas on air set ups since theres not alot of pics here AND IVE SEARCHED. someone needs to do a good HOW-TO on air since theres not alot of info on air ride just alot of spuratic questions from the searches ive done. and on car domain theres not a way to look up air ride cars.

ill be watching.........

Yellow - i may actually try and put together a post about the whole install from start to finish. im sure it would help alot of people out. maybe ill start that today

Mark - i wont be talkin when im in ther, lol. but ya, im trying to get her ready to roll real soon. the nice days make me wanna drive it soo bad. we'll have to hit all the shows and cruises this year

i bought the first stuff from Fatmat on ebay. i would suggest not dealing with them though. they were terrible to deal with. took well over a month, and the only reason they finally shipped it was cuz i put a hold on the paypal.

i bought the next 100 ft from JLC Audio. its a lil thinner than the fatmat, but for me its a 2nd coat, so im not worried about it

I got those same harnesses and Im not sure if its a problem on all of their harnesses or just mine, but the adjuster thing that goes on the back of the seats wont stay tight, any kind of pressure and it slips. You may need to modify them allitle, but I dont use mine so its not too big of a problem for me(not sure if you plan on using yours or not).

one question though, how much do you think that 100yds of the mat weighs? Just curious

Lookin good eazy. Sad to hear that 100ft will not cover. That was suppose to be my next thing, but I moved onto the doors. Oh well, I'll sound deaden and recarpet this summer. On the plus side, you look like you were very thorough with the fatmat and covered everythin. I've seen some people you looks like they randomly just lay pieces wherever. Nice. Keep with the updates, and def writeup a how to. It will help a lot of peeps.
