Got some wheels finally, I'm in love with em. I got 17X8 with 235/40/17, but want to go 245, when I need new tires anyway, gotta get the tape measure out
. Oh, don't mind the Saturn it's my friends, lowered on Eibach Prokit and KYB GR2's. Yes, I need to clean the tires better and my brakes need upgraded, and painted (brakes are on the way and paint is here but waiting for brakes), and I'm a night owl.............get over it.
Anywho, onto the pics.
Yeah they are pretty nice, not a fan of the neon but whatever floats yer boat.
It is.............I have the Tein Basic Damper kit, mild drop is best for performance
, plus I like the way it sits and rides now. When it is slammed the ride is uber harsh, plus I really need the Toyota Cav fenders for a little extra clereance with the tires, in order to slam it with these new shoes.
shouldnt have any problems slamming it with wheels im running a 2.5 inch drop on 205 45 17 inch tires.

dude, it doesnt look lowered at all
the back can come down at least like an inch and itll still be fine for handling
nice but it honestly doesnt look lowered to me either cept in the first pic in the front..when u had just ur steelies it look lower.. but nice rims for sure.

Because they are not on proper sized tires. Should be 45 Series for 17's
yea thoes tires are far from the proper size. should be either 215 45/17 or 225/45/17
Whack!
Ah well, I like 'em better on black-

Not so true, i was running the EXACT same size tire. Speedo was of by maybe .5 mph. how do i know? one test was GPS, Then the next was my friend who is a cop. on the radar for about 3 of the times it was 1 mph off and the rest were right on. its not that far off, if you go up in the first and down in the second numbers its stays virtually the same.

35mm, works quite nicely for me. Though I have 215/45's stretched onto mine, little less contact patch, but it allows fender clearance in the front.
looks good
talk to me when you stuff some 245/45/17's on there
lol
that is what im putting on mine

that really has nothing to do with it, as it was stated, they are close enough where the difference is less than a percent
you could lower the front and back an inch and youd be good for handling and itll look better too
nice

Hey thanks for all of the comments and criticism. Ok, now, let me try and answer all the questions, and settle some little things.
234/45 would be too tall and I ran the numbers anyway and 235/40 was a better fit for the speedo and clreance issues. 245/45 is way too tall 245/40 is damn near perfect, same overall diameter as my stockers, so therefore it would be just like putting 225/45, or 215/45 on..........just wider.
Oh, and 255/40 would be nice...........I just don't think there would be any clreance, but I will crunch numbers when the time comes for new tires.
Yes they are the right offset +35 mm. And no 17X8 is fine, and looks like is was meant to be there, especially if you are looking at it from the rear.
Lowering it sounds good and it would look better, however, handling would be affected......in the front anyway, right now the lower control arms are parallel with the ground, which promotes excellent handling due to the fact that the suspension geometry is still correct and not over extended. At least that is what I have been told, last Sun. actually at an SCCA event. And now that I think about it it could go down a little in the rear......which I shall take care of this weekend if I get a chance.
Finally, no they do not come in bronze, just flat black, and matte titanium. And they are Flik Ftd wheels, I got em from edgeracing.com.
Anyway, thanks again for all the comments, it's not every day I get compliments for nice things.
MantaZ. Now that I think about it, it was lower with the steelies, cause I had the rear all the way down and the front like 3/4 of the way down.
Joe. Your car is the hottness, Josh...............damn get some tuning done and put some numbers down that thing is crazy.
