Freshly detailed, then some fun!!!
Monday, May 01, 2006 9:40 PM
Spent 2 days detailing my car. I used all Meguires products. Deep Crytal Car Wash, Clay Bar, Deep Crystal Step 1 Paint Cleaner, Deep Crystal Step 2 Polish, Gold Class wax. Turned out great I think

Got a new muffler and tip put on too. They also rerouted the piping hitting the axle.

Then I had some fun!!!!

Buddy James (SilverEco5spd)

Brandon (Cavfan1)

Enjoy!!

1.) No cavalier should ever be that shiny

2.) What hes not telling you is that when a car is waxed its much easier to get cone marks off the nose of the car.

Nice job, if I'm ever in Michigan how much do you charge? It looks spectacular.

Thanx every one for the comments!! I took me a long time to get her that shinny. But she turned out great. I had some pissed of friends those two days, they were sitting behind me drinking beer waiting for me to get done so we could go out.

The reason I waxed her was to slip through the air faster, not to make it easier to get cone marks off, DUH!!! As far as the cones though, I only hit one all day, on my first run. All the ones that you see done are pointer cones, they tell you which way you are supposed to go around that cone.

Elf- I was second in STS with a 59.4xx. First place was a fist gen neon r/t running a 59.3xx. james was third with a low 60.xxx if i remember. And brandon was running a 55.4xx in ES, first in his class. fastest time of the day was a 53.3xx in a C6 Z06. It was a great day.

Rascal- I charge too much to detail a car, you cant afford me (I dont want to go through that again).

Jay Van- Thanx buddy

Whitecavy- Thank you too buddy!!

And last but not least

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOE!!!!!

I think that was my worst run. I was too frustrated with my crappy tires. Then Brandon gave me some pointers and told me what i was doing wrong and the next run was my fastest. Brandon Is my hero!!!

I am completely hooked on autoX this year. I am starting to plan everything I do around each event. It is so much fun!!! I think I might be going to the Detroit season opener Saturday, but I might not be able to race because the regestration is full. But we will see.

Yenko- I had 205/55/16 sumitomo srixon 4 tires, the fronts are past the wear bars. I was fighting against those tires all day. But tommorrow I have an appointment to get 225/50R16 Falken Azenis 615s put on. I can't wait.

I'm telling ya 3 coats of wax at least on the front bumper will make the cone marks much easier to remove. I've got tons of them because I only put 1 coat on last time I washed the car and now there a biatch and a half to get off the car, looks like damage.

The last autox school I was at they told us to nail cones because if we weren't we weren't getting close enough. Truth be told it did improve my times and will require about 15 minutes per side rubbing off the cone marks.

Hehe. Yeah, I have hit a few cones but thankfully they havent left marks yet. I got a couple coats of wax up front to protect from rock chips and bugs, so maybe thats why.

I really want to go to a school. My buddy Brandon told me the same thing about the cones at a school. Sounds like fun.

I just got my Azenis put on today, and man what a difference they made!!! I can't wait to try them out.
