Just got this valve cover back in the mail today and I'm so excited to get this engine in my car now . I polished it then sent it out to get clear coated so I wouldn't have to worry about it getting that famous yellow look or anything. Take a look at these pics below:

Looks very nice, get some pics of her installed!

So the covers yellow after some time? Is it permanent or would a polishing compound take it out?

Blown.

Clearcote? - wont the ngine get hot enough to burn that off, or discolor it?

My Powdercoted one, in red....will be installed and posted soon! - 3-4 days!

If you don't take care of the cover and maintain it properly then yes, it will tarnish and turn yellowish, but something like Mothers mag and aluminum polish will take that yellow out.

Powdercoat is cured with heat so the engine bay wouldn't do anything to it to make it discolor or come off. I had my valve cover and intake manifold powdercoated on my old Shelby Daytona and that powder lasted perfectly fine for the 3 years that I had it and was still going strong when I sold the car.

Thanks for the comments guys. I will just need to get some fuel lines, and power steering lines for the engine, and then it will be getting thrown in. The only thing is I haven't had much time lately because of work.

Thanks,
-Paul
