Then i beat this @!#$ out of my knuckels again today reinstalling my control arms with the new Prothane bushings, what a freakin chore that was..

And the teaser shots.... I should have the entire front end buttoned back up by the end of this week.

wait for it.....

here ya go....

My garage is a royal cluster fu(& right now with all my tools i've needed to play around... Look for some more pics tomorrow night as tomorrow afternoon i will be sweating balls in the 92 degrees is suppose to hit installing the CF fenders, and seeing how i like them or not....

don't forget, PAINT THE BUMPER FLAT BLACK before you install the Type-J for good, or else you'll see the white behind it.

Looks good Ive been dealing with the heat too but I dont care my car is going to be back up and running hell or high water. Projects like this have a bad habit of destroying garages.

Thanks for the headups james, i was wondering what I was going to do about that. I figured the mesh was going to just hide it, but a little rattle can would prolly do just the trick so much better.

yeh def paint that.. when i installed ym bomex front i figured teh mesh would hide it and mines green.. didnt do to well.. mesh dont hide to much.. unless u get the really small stuff.. i even painted my windshield fluid resivoir black.. Good luck with the car man its looking good. Just dunno on the c/f fenders..

wish i had a garage

Well the fenders are basically both on, i have to unfortunatly have to take both of them back off again and drill some new holes in the fenders since they were meant for 95-99 style and its all fukkkked up. Also being its fiberglass underneath, the fitment is pretty damn good i must say, but I still need to do a little tweaking so the 2000+ headlight brackets fit better since something isn't sitting right and causing the headlights to get all discombobulated.... lol.. I will be continueing tomorrow afternoon again.

Oh yea, and also painted the bumper flat black like james suggested above and your right its alot better off and dosn't show when the bumper is put on...

I'll have more pics up tomorrow night... Enjoy..

i see u took my advice too in painting the windshield fluid resivoir lol looks like u took ur time on it and even painted teh frame too thats the bad thing with white.. luckily on mine the green didnt show that much.. so i didnt worry about it.. I say finish ur suspension get it rolling and set the front and headlights on and roll it out the garage then take a pic and send it over to IM to photoshop the bumper white so u can see how the fender look with it.. or go buy some white spray paint and do teh bumper kinda halfass to set it on and see if u like it.. paint can just be sanded right off before paint so its not that big of a deal.. hate for u to get ti all together and painted and realize u dont like the look afterall.. esp with the sideskirts on and white too..

But looks good so far and glad to see u makin progress..

man awesome! seriously i love how it looks so far, looks like how gangsta's have 26"s and candy paint.... and your reaction is "holy sh!t that mutha f'r has some money", thats like your front end.... just in a tuner way! ha ha if that makes any sense......

Heres a suggestion though....... You may personaly like the look of the CF next to the white on your car, but me personaly i think it kinda looks a lil goofy, with the difference between white and black. My suggestion is paint a design on the fenders like people do on the hood to flow with the car. Do a design that wraps on the hood and fenders all in white. Hopefully this makes some sense!

Its nice to see someone actually taking their time. Just don't start to rush it. Take your time to get everything right and fitted properly, and it'll come out perfect.

i'm pretty sure he's planning on painting the whole car a diff color if i remember correctly...

looking hot cody. now you just need a cf trunklid... when it's done, we need to get some pics together.

now i just need to get MY a-arm bushings installed... did you replace the ball joints too?

TO answer everyones question, yes after seeing this the way it is i AM going to paint the car and the CF fenders with some sort of design that will show the Carbon fiber off still but make it look less drastic. Like broughtdown suggested i am going to get it all together then take some high res shots and see what the Image manipulation guys can do for me. I still have alot of tweaking to do with the fenders like i mentioned before, i don't want to do this job more than once, so thats why i am taking my slow ass time. Just making sure I do it all right or complete.

Spencer- A-arm bushings.. ha ha.. those were some fun times. Lets see 2 bloody knuckels and lots of sweat. Yes i did install new lower ball joints when i did it all. I had to get a shop to press out the old bushings for me, but i put the new ones in, and drilled out the rivots to the old ball joints. If you have another person to help you install the control arm back in it will help tremendously... I had to step on the freakin control arm to depress it in order to get the ball joint back in its hole. The prothane bushings are stiff as hell..

Ok here is todays update... Fenders are offically on the car, headlights are on, and dun dun da... Type-J front bumper is 3/4 of the way on. I just have some minor tweaking to do with it... I love urethane kits.. I am soooo glad i got one, there is nothing to it!

I just have to finish securing the front bumper, put all the fender well liners back in, attach the mesh to the front bumper since the car won't see paint till next spring ( no i don't plan on driving the car either its going to stay garaged but i have like 4-5 planned trips with it and thats all) then put the steelies back on and roll the car out into the driveway and start working on the side skirts and then the rear bumper. So i've still got alot left to do.... and the next 2 days are completely off from work... woo hoo!!

I hope you paint the car black or a really dark colour. If you dont, the fenders will look really out of place. Looking really good though, keep us posted.

Well I got the entire front end all buttoned up, then realized i missed one of the tabs on the fender and it is on the wrong side of the freaking metal tab its suppose to be on... $#6*(28*(&*&*#Q&!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

With that vented... I am going to see if i can just remove the top bolts and loosen the bottom ones and pull the fender back towards me a little bit and get it to where it suppose to be and not have to remove EVERYTHING again... Then i have another freaking problem to deal with now thats going to require me to do a @!#$ load of lookin crap up... ugggh..

And now here is my problem.....

One headlight is brighter than the other, when i tested them out after i did everything it worked perfectly but i never turned the car on untill today. Now i have my DRL light flashing and this... WTF!!!!!!!!!

this blows ass.....

Besides the headlight problem, the rest of the car is sick. It reminds me of Phlatcavs, especially if you are gonna finish the car up with the rest of the Type-J kit. Very nice job so far...
