Actually, we were stuck waiting for a trailer to arrive to pic up one of our cars.
But the sun came out and we had a nice time.
We were told there would absolutely be NO awards.
Our cars were never judged even if there was.
I was told by JCO that the show was rain or shine no matter what, then I watched them leave.
No one, not even other members of our own car club, called to tell us anything was going on at the hotel... not that we knew where it was anyway.
Just kinda venting there...

You can never complain though, that turnout was better than any GA J meet I've been to since 02.

Who told you there would be no awards? The JCO Execs stuck around until after half of the people had left because of the rain. I was in the car with Borgs whn Corby came over and they finally decided to head back to the hotel. By the time we got back to the hotel, the lot was packed. Then the JCO Execs held a quick meeting to decide what to do. The decided to finish judging at the hotel with whatever cars came back. The big problem was people had taken off from the track before any decisions were made.
I will say, there should have been a contigency plan already decided upon before the weekend due to the weather forecast that way they could have told everyone as they were rolling in Saturday. Other than that, they made the best of what they had.
Had an absolute blast.

the rain wasn't the reason most people left...sure it started makeing people leave...
but this was the reason 90% of the people left.

i went for another run at the track and it poured plu si was low on gas so i went for gas and food, by the time i was on my way back everone was back at the hotel
Yes JBOM wins club participation, no other clubs stayed......
Suddenly not so sad that I stayed home, wishing I could have been there, could have watched some DVDs......

Someone, no idea who,,, he was wearing an orange "staff" shirt though, came to us under the tent and told us they were closing the show. When asked about rewards and judging, he said he wasn't sure. There would probably be refunds.
Then later, Dan was told that refunds for people who weren't judged, would be handled later, probably sent back through you, Ian. Since they had a record of the names and addresses of all who registered, it would be no problem to do. Again, no idea who said it.
None makes any difference to me, I did not enter my car. But others have been really disappointed to find out how things happened without us.

well we weren't going to go back to the hotel, but we figured we should just see whats up...then they're like they're judging..were like wtf?...we had no idea, the announcement just said it's cancelled due to rain delay, and thanks for comming out.
but yea, only if everyone stuck around a bit longer the rained cleared up.
ya crazy event for sure I just finished cleaning the damn car and down came the rain we figured we'd stick it out under the tent everyone but you guys were gone when we left I wasnt pushing cars around in the rain we should have had a lil show of our own lol nice meeting you guys for sure and hope you got the cars all back in one piece,

They had told us (the west crew) to just go home, it was over with...
me and a few other guys left, and said screw it.. we sat in the rain for 3 hours already, with noone making any decisions from the exec standpoint, so we said enuff is enuff and left..
i would of stayed, but like i said.. i was just pissed off that nooone gave us any info...
and that storm cloud had produced tornados about half hour away from the track, and it was coming towards us, so we said @!#$ it and just left...
not pleased with the orginaziation of the show after the rain, but beofre the rain was just @!#$ amazing!!!!1

my buddy was the one racing the guy when the motor went. rumor has it you guys where from mig.
any more info on the "refunds" i was pretty pissed that my car wasn't judged, not like id win anything anyway.

Yes, that was us.
We had a few discussions with the guys from the track to kill the time. They were incredibly nice and helpful to us. They even gave a ride to find the trailer when it got lost.

The Motor blew on it...rod..I think.
He tryed 15 PSI on the stock engine...was just to much

Yep..some little pieces of metal, the back of the car was covered in oil! Look ed as if the rod smacked the sensor, and then smashed it out of the block!
I feel pretty bad for him....very nice setup on it.
He had to wait for the flatbed to come get him.
I did help push him tho. Offered him a ride if he needed it...
