Update on my air ride

Well, got 2 of my 3 Carbon Fiber gauges yesterday. Should be getting the Air Pressure gauge sometime in the near future. Also, I got my Front air bag kit today. I'm getting everything put on tomorrow. I'll get pics after everything's installed.

Topsub - Get it on already... lol

Slmd - Got pics of the gauges? Everyone already wants to race me because I have an exhaust. And the only way people can see my blue gauges is when my windows are rolled down. Because they are 5%.

Yeah Jason, I agree.. It would look alot better in my car than on my floor, but oh well. I'm very excited to get it done so I can move on to a new project on the car. They're getting put on in a few hours.

Geeds, You should get some, they look damn nice in person.

Here we go, everything's installed. After putting on the front bags, I noticed I needed new motor mounts. Replaced the motor mounts, wired up my gauges, wired up my second battery in the trunk, and Installed the front bags.

Here's the pics

^^ that one is how low my front end sits on the ground.

Enjoy...

I know they look chopped. I thought that myself. Especially the first one. I love every bit of it and there's virtually no leaks. I've gotta get an alignment really bad though. Tomorrow i'll get a pic of the second battery in the trunk and my gauges wired up at night. They light up a nice blue color.

Thanks for the comments guys. I really appreciate it. I put alot of blood, sweat, tears, cash and time into this project and i'm very proud of the outcome. I'll definitely be taking some scenic pics and phewes impression shots soon enough. I can't decide on what my next project will be with the car.

I'm thinking either engine bay clean up (Carbon Fiber accent peices with chrome/polished peices, followed by the MRZ Performance cap things.), or working on the interior (Carbon Fiber peices, with Black painted peices, black carpet, silver suede, and diamond plated floor mats and a sub box behind the air tank.) or, working on the exterior.

hey hor just a peice of advice dont roll that low ive learned twice already and draged through my trans pan twice now. but its all in fun haha

Nah, I don't roll that low. I usually lift it up high enough so it doesn't scrape anything.

It would be cool to do drag blocks, but I don't know how or where to install them. I'm getting my exhaust re-done today to go over the rear "axle" better and with a better muffler. I'll get pics tonight when it's done.

Thanks alot sUiCiDe, I like it too

looks really nice. do you notice any major camber issues with the front wheels. mine all seem to be good except my front passenger side, going to work on it tonight. ive never looked under mine to see if my pan sits that low to the ground, thats damn close to touching. cool as hell.

oh ya.. how is the ride.. is it smoother? how does it handle in corners? Do you have any sway bars or anything

Re: Update on my air ride

Jason, I don't really have any major camber issues, but the caster in the front is a little off on both sides. I gotta take it in for an alignment so hopefully it'll fix whatever problems I have. (such as the front end vibration when i'm riding low) I got my exhaust re-done today to go up and over my "axle" better and the new muffler doesn't scrape the ground anymore.

Topsub, It rides really smooth when not raised all the way up. I didn't really take corners fast, so I would have nothing to compare to. Also I didn't really get air ride for performance purposes. I got it mostly for looks and functionality. I like the fact that I can raise and lower my car whenever I want..

ah.. ya.. i really don't take corners fast either, but getting on the interstate with the big "U" style loops i figured you could tell if you saw any improvement or not.

Ya raising and lowering anytime you want has to be fun..
