Sweetness: The car without a heart...

I figured I'd post a little update on the car... comments are always welcome, good or bad. I've gone out of my way to step forth and do a few things that nobody has ever tried in a J-body... subtle things. I realize that the best form of flattery is imitation but I do hope for once some credit is put where its due when I am copied yet again.

And that's not meant to sound bitter at all - just tired of all the crap that comes with car modding some days I guess!

The car in its new home that I purchased and moved into a few weeks ago.

Mmmm... interesting. Why are the headlights missing?

Yes... still no engine yet. It's coming along...

4 Shelves of parts waiting to be stuffed under the hood with the new motor.

LC-1 Wideband Gauge installed.

Greddy Profec B Spec II installed beside the Greddy Turbo Timer.

Now - what the heck is this for... and why has nobody ever done it?

The car finally deserves its name in a badge, and so it has received it. This isn't your "buy it off the internet" plastic crap... it's a laser cut polished stainless badge designed by me.

Before the questions are asked:

-Yes the motor is coming.
-Yes it's taking longer than I want
-Yes I am still going for 500 wheel horsepower
-Yes I realized I'm crazy.
-And Yes I realize you think it's impossible.

As I said, comments are welcome, good or bad!!!! These pictures show off maybe 20% of the work done to the car over the winter... so it can be considered a teaser. Enjoy!

BTW...Justin has a custom badge that says STEATHFIRE. They give the car a nice classy touch to it.

yeah his are a Generic VW font, made of plastic. I had to one-up him.

Looks awesome, Chris. I know how it feels waiting without a heart. Mine should be in the car in two weeks and turboed around two weeks after that. Machine shops are busy this time of year. You've got a lot of time and effort into her (not to mention money), and this car will EASYily make 500whp and not even raise a 'brow. Sucks to see a car motorless when the nice weather is here and the season gets closer to an end by the day. I feel your pain. But it will all be worth it for sure. Oh, I dont know what that momentary switch is for
