I looked at my car and thought, "Whoa! Sweet wheelgap!"
Then I realized that it only looked like a Jeep because it was up on jackstands in the garage.
So I gashed away at it and debadged the front and rear.
Next I drained away all this nastiness that eight years and 97,000 miles ago was transmission fluid.
When I learned that automatics don't work without transmission fluid, I added some of this nice stuff... looks like cherry ice cream topping, no?
On a serious note, I can't believe how much better the car drives after changing the fluid. To anyone with high miles I'd strongly recommend it. The car accelerates harder in each gear, shifts more quicker and smoother, and above all it's preventative maintenance. Only took me about four hours to change the fluid and filter, so for those of you who *aren't* 17 years old and stupid, that's like two or three hours tops.
I was happy when I heard my car ran 10s. Then I found out that was 0-60.
Damn you could go off roading in that thing! LOL! JK dude! Yeah tranny fluid gets NASTY! Bet it smelled great didn't it?
Semper Fi SAINT. May you rest in peace.
Reminds me that I need to do that. How much was the fluid? I have to go home on Monday and that seems like a good project to do along with an oil change.

4 hours?
maybe 30 minutes

Cost me $32 for the fluid, gasket, etc. And yes, I spent four hours on it, but that includes about an hour drinking coke and another hour or so on the phone to a friend.
Oh my goodness though it smells nasty. My dad came into the garage wondering what the awful stink was.
It's an easy job, I just did it super slowly.

drain some well used 90w axle oil, then you can talk about bad smells
