I got tired of seeing that ugly black intake so I painted it! Turned out pretty good I think. Let me know if you guys would like me to post a "how to" for anyone else who wants to do this.
Enjoy!

That looks really good... How did you get it to come out so well?

Nope just the GM color match spray paint over top of primer and toped off with some clear coat.

GM color matched chrome...

He painted the intake manifold, not the warm air intake pipe...
Looks really good
Can I get the near match paint at the GM dealer? All i've been able to find elsewhere is Nissan 350Z orange paint that almost matches...

He said intake, not intake manifold...
I see you like your engine bay, so do I. You can take some Mothers Metal Polish to the A/C Pump and lines, and turns into a polished look. That intake looks really good.

yea he did, but when u saw that his manifold was painted and his intake was chrome.. use your common sense and say ok he meant manifold.. no biggie and post away
nobody needs to make a big fuss, jeeze
looks great dude
Deflux, your car is the same color as mine it would appear from your sig. So yes GM does in fact sell color matched spray paint for it.
Sorry for any confusion about the intake MANIFOLD lol! But when I said I got tired of seeing that ugly BLACK intake I thought it was understood, my bad guys sorry.
FirstCar 24 Mothers is like water compaired to the stuff I use. try looking for a product called "EXTREME METAL POLISH" This stuf is amazing! But thanks for the tip on the lines, next up is the fuel rail!

i was thinkin the same thing.. not paying attention i was trying to look at both pics trying to see the different in color on the intake anywhere.. then i saw the manifold behind it..
but it looks good.. i think u did a good job on it.. but now u should paint the strut bar mounting plates the same color...
Nice work, Jack. Your engine looks really clean.
