how did you know you needed to replace the axle? just noticed it or what?
couldnt you just replace the boot if it was just that?

Rears are on, stang is a 6 cyl, decent on gas (better than the cav as it sits).

so i take it ... you installed the rear set up, you jacked the front up to do the front set up and found the mess? good thing you found it! that would suck if it seased up while your drive or before you had to go some were important.
how long do you think its going to take to get the new axle in?
Nah, I was under there last week for something else and found the grease.
Should only take 30 minutes or so to get the new axle in once I get it, I'll hopefully have one tomorrow if the yard has one sitting there (crosses fingers).
Luckily I have the other car to drive around, my cav sits more than it drives.
