Some of you might remember this pic from a while back.
Welllll.... a lot of progress has been made since that. I've gone through two amp racks (that old measure twice cut once adage comes to mind..), two bad or destroyed alternators, and one dead battery. As of right now, this is how it's looking.
new battery...
And instead of having to replace fuses when they blow, I opted for a 140 amp circuit breaker.
And after shorting one alternator, and getting another faulty one as a replacement, I went to
Motor City Reman for this 200 amp baby.
And we move back to the trunk where we find.....
Powering my 2 sets of coaxials and 6x9's
And this....
In a freshly made box, thanks to me not measuring the trunk properly.
Here's the boom.....
The box????
I hope you enjoy this little update. I'm really pressing myself to finish off the system before I move to BSU next week.
Few things. Yes.. I'm aware that I need to change the pulley on the alternator. Yes, I have plenty of 4 AWG wire to do the Big 3 when I swap alternators. Yes, I have a second battery for the trunk. And finally (I think) the wood is no longer showing on the amp box, and that pesky little wire is tucked away.
If I missed anything, I'm sure I'm aware of it, but point it out anyways, just in case.
Thanks for looking!
