Header pics

I don't have one yet.
But I would like to see some pics of a header for the 2.4L LD9. Preferably 4-2-1, but a 4-1 will be ok too. Mainly I am looking on how they fit and how it looks in the bay.
Also if someone has the RKS 4-2-1, could you please post lots of pics too.
Thanks people.

Pacesetter 4-1 (not the armor-coated one, obviously)

It's a little tricky to install when you try to tighten the ball joint (at least it was to me), but other than that, relatively easy install, nice gain, no complaints other than the slight exhaust leak at the joint that I had to fix.

Good luck finding one you like!

Interesting,
I thought the cc module had to be removed.
Or at least from that pic it looks like its moved over or something.
Good deal.

Goodwrench, I am telling you go with the pace setter armor coated. The rk design does not work very well. TRUST me.. I dynod before and after and gained whp and tq with pacesetter over the rk sport header (4-2-1 design)....

godo lukc and I hope things work out for you

QBE, I am leaning on the 4-2-1 design for everyday drivability. When I had the 2.5'' mufflers I absolutely hated it because I lost power all through out the rev-range ESPECIALLY down low, luckily i had the stock mufflers which after 4 days I put them back, but with the 2.5'' pipe. (i know)
This time around i am going 2.25'' pipe/muffler with 4-2-1 header. Don't take it bad, I appreciate your help lots .

Phlatcav,
i have some questions;

-Where did you put CC? I am not seeing it?
-Does the header come with a coating?(ceramic)
-Are you using a high-flow cat?
-What size is the end in inches 2'', 2.25'', 2.5''?
-Did you have relocate anything? (dipstick, etc)
-Did you notice any gains in power, decrease in MPG?
-Was it difficult to install?

Sorry to kill you with all these questions, but you seem to have experience on this and I am in need of feed back on this. Any help will be helpful man and thanks for the pics.

Thanks all for the pics.
If any more pics of the RKS 4-2-1 it will be greatly appreciated!

Mine looks like this as well. I would also recomment the ceramic coat as well. Also for your car I would go with 4-1. Reason why our cars have a lot of low end to start with ( you more so with the charger). I have the 4-1 with 2.5 inch exhaust. Might have slightly lost a little on the bottem, but man it screams up top!!!!!!! The loss (if any) is not going to affect you.

Let me rephrase it, I don't want the torque band to be pushed up and feel like a small 1.6L or smaller import engine.
I personally indeed felt a tremendous loss down when I went to 2.5'' I basically had to give it 50%+ throttle to achieve the power i was getting before. And with gas price going these days, I am not going to be running boost 100% on my commutes just to feel some sort of power.

Flipspeed.
That DC header looks nice, the only thing bothering me is the 02 port location.

I understand what you are saying. Keep in mind you have boost I do not. Even if you are not 100% in it you will probably be pushing some boost. I usually get between 28-34 miles to the gallon depending on my driving. I do not think that is bad for my mods and how my car runs. I think with the header and full exhaust you are going to pick up a lot, but 4-1 or 4-2-1 is not going to make a difference for your set-up. Much less than mine. I'm planning to dyno on the second of Sept so I should have some numbers (hopefully good) to show what my mods have gotten me. Also can compare to a previous dyno sheet for this car before header, and cams.
