I used my friends clay bar and the spray cleaner wax he had from the dealer ship and the spray on chalky wax he had and the results are amazing! I am extremely happy with how clean it is now. also shows alot more scratches that I didnt realize I had either though. Deff glad I did it though!

ahhh yes.... spray wax and a clay bar are two of a detailer's best friends... bet your paint is so smooth to the touch too now... put some wax on it and it'll feel like glass

ive always wanted to try one...does it take those like swirlies out of the paint...i mean like for instance the moron b4 me who owned my car washed it then dried it off with a damn bath towel or something too harsh for the paint and its got like the swirl scratches in it all over...

jw if the clay bar would take those out? ive tried ive waxed the car like 50 times and they still remain.

It wont take alot of them out but it smoothes out the paint like you wouldnt believe and deepens it up alot. It turned the clay bar black on some spots of the car. especially on the bottoms of the fenders and doors and all from road grime. deff a need to do on all cars!

Check out the Meguiars Forum. You can try Scratch X, but I highly reccommend going to that site and reading how to use it properly. Some swirling is inevitable. I have them on my tC, and I've only used Microfiber towels, lambswool mitts, and Meguiars Applicators for washing/drying/waxing. But, unless you are up close looking for them, you wont see them.

I clay barred (sp?) and waxed my car last week... took TONS of pics (not developed yet)... omg. Like a freakin mirror. Definately worth it. I'd post up the pics, but I don't have a J anymore lol

Sure... I could post them in Other Cars... but who reads that forum much anyway? lol

Hmmm... maybe I could take new pics of my car WITH a J-body and post them up... hmmm....

My god I LOVE my car. I'm having a REALLY hard time NOT modifying it. There's just SOOOOO much aftermarket support, and it's only been out since 2004.

I enjoy being able to drive over speed bumps though (the fire was WAAYYY too low)... so I'm not going body kit route. MAYBE a lip kit, but still iffy on that. I'm leaning more towards boost. They make so many awesome turbo and s/c kits it's not funny. But, after seeing a video of a turbo tC vs a tC with the TRD supercharger.... I'm leaning more towards a turbo. The turbo tC (running at 8psi) left the s/c tC (@9psi) in the dust.... BAD. But, a turbo would void my 7 year 100k mile warranty... but... I'd really love boost... but I really like the warranty... but, Toyota does make a very reliable motor so maybe the warranty won't matter... but then again................... (see what I mean? lol) The TRD supercharger doesn't void the warranty if it's installed by a dealer... but for the money you spend on the TRD supercharger vs a Turbo, you get wayyyyyy more out of the turbo.

Right now thankfully I'm too short on cash to do any mods that I want at the moment lol.

lol I wish I had the money to mod all the time or to get rid of the cav and get a new car. I like the cav but I dont feel like a motor swap and there just isnt enough potential for my 2200. I'm thinkin about a SS supercharged or wait till they go turbo down the road.

You should get a tC
