No good.... 56k fine.

Well I was heading back to school today, probably a good 40 minutes away, and I'm jammin to my music pretty loud. Well I start to feel a slight vibration, so I turn down my music. I hear a *pop* and the vibration gets a bit worse. Luckily enough, there was a gas station less than a block away, so I pulled in there, and started looking around my car for the source. I see this little guy hanging half out of my front passenger side wheel... There's one still intact, and the other three are M.I.A. I'm really lucky I stopped when I did, because if the last one snapped while I was driving... I'd probably have FUBAR'd some suspension work, destroyed the brake rotor, and messed up my front and side pretty bad. The girl working at the gas station was nice enough (and cute enough) to let me keep my car there until tomorrow when the closest dealer could pick it up and fix it. I got her number too Anyways... on to the pics....

Yep. 4 of the 5 stud bolts on my front passenger side just snapped clean off. I'm trying to figure out why, since I have the hub rings in, and I haven't hit any potholes or anything like that... just worn down I assume.

I thought I might have overtightened them at first, then I got thinking: I haven't removed this wheel since I rotated them after changing out the winter wheels, which was about 6 months ago. The car did a lot of sitting, too.

And shadowfire, we'll see what happens with the gas station girl. You'll get pics if I can get em.

But I had to pay a dealer to do it. That's the rough part. It was a Sunday, I was about halfway in between home and school (probably 30 minutes to home, 45 to school) Bill was ~$160 But she was really good lookin for a blonde.
