new aerodynamic styling!

well, my steering wheel locked up on my way out of a turn today on my way to work. i went off the road, plowed over a small tree and then found a larger one that lifted the right side of the car and rolled it onto the left side. i'm currently waiting for the claim adjuster to show up and tell me if my car will be totalled or not. i hope not because as you can see from the extent of the damages, it's an excellent time to upgrade. anyway, on with the pics.

it happened this morning on my way to work, so around 7:45-7:50 EST. no seatbelt, no air bags. stock steering wheel. i just stood on the ground, popped my head out the passenger window and climbed out. i can't put on here the words that came out of my mouth though. let's just say they were four letters, mostly the same one repeated over and over, and it started with an f.
matt-that's exactly why. you said you were busy though so i didn't wanna consume a whole bunch of your time. fortunately the coil-overs seem to be alright though. unfortunately it's looking like it'll need 2 fenders, front bumper, 2 mirrors, subframe, driver door, and dents pulled from the 1/4 panels. rims are scratched up on the lips, but i have 14's and 17's in my garage so i'm not too concerned about them.
i'll update after the insurance guy comes to see what they decide. i really hope that they're willing to cut me a check.

gtpsunfire-the cf hood and trunk are both untouched. those, the roof and the rear bumper are the only panels that came out unscathed.
dave-my parents are basically just glad i'm ok. honestly, with how my summer's going i don't even care anymore but if i do get hurt i'd rather have it just finish the job because i don't have health insurance so i can't afford to get hurt. i'm hoping that if worst comes to worst they total it and give me enough to buy another 00-02 cav. then i can just swap my parts over (hood, trunk, seats, system, etc)
thanks for the support guys. i'm really praying things work out so i can keep the car. if anyone lives in the mid-hudson valley (ny for all of you who don't know where that is) and wants to give me a hand rebuilding it if it's not totalled let me know.

wow thats insane, i dont think they'll call it totaled, it looks like just a couple dints here and there....except for the subframe
what do you mean by upgrade?

PS: if you dont want that front bumper and headlights ill take them ...or just the bumper

Glad you are fine man...hope you build it back bigger and better!!

wow, I feel your pain man....the odds are that it will be totalled....

my dash pad is in the back seat. it was on at the time of the accident, idk how it got back there. j/k i had it out the night before because i was going to install a push button ignition system. i figured if i took it apart it would be 1 less thing to do by the time i was ready to install it, which was gonna be this weekend. that will obviously no longer be happening.
as far as the front bumper is concerned-it does have some damage on the passenger side as well as a lot of scratched. also, if they total it i don't think they'll let me just start ripping parts off to sell them.
i think i'm going to go to a dealership this week and price out everything i need, and then price out everything that i want to replace the parts that are bad. since i'll be working when the adjuster shows up i'll leave him a note with the difference between going through a dealer and going through some other companies, plus i'll be saving them money by doing the work myself, so i'm really hoping they'll be willing to pay less by letting me fix the car myself as opposed to paying me the book value. i looked up the book value-srp-5400. good condition private party is around 4800. that's for my zip code (12525 if you're curious) so we'll see what goes down. i'm sure i can buy the parts and fix it for under 4800, but we'll see what allstate says. either way, thanks guys. i appreciate your support. i've often said (since my summer has sucked real bad this year) that the only reason i haven't driven straight into a tree with no seatbelt on at like 100mph is because i don't want to live through it and see my car. so instead, i drive over 1 tree, (it was small) hit another tree and drop the car on it's side, and come out completely fine.
thanks again guys, sorry for the long post.

Looks oddly familiar, except my wreck started with hitting a deer and ended with this......

As you can see the damage on my car wasnt nearly as extensive as yours, but that dang Quarter panel was trashed, so they totaled the car, I feel for you bro, but im thinking their gonna total it.

Lets just hope they cut you a check and not a $2k bill like they did with me!

My condolences.......
