Would look good you are going to have to brace the daylights out of the car though due to removing a significant amount of structural integrity via the unibody...
There's a company that will do this for you for $16,000. That should give you a hint as to the work involved.
dude, that would be so hot if you could pull it off....DO IT!!!

Buy a Vert and do it, you'll just have to repiant everything on the vert.

My friend had a 30,000 honda accord, and won tons of shows with it. He scrapped it all after chopping the top because of all of the problems he ran into. Sorry, looks like itd be bad ass, but I gotta vote no.

If you can do it I say go for it, but I have a feeling it would be more work then its worth. Def looks sick tho.
Skolastix wrote:Why don't you just buy a convertable, and then swap out the Bumper, Fenders, side skirts and doors. Then you could just repaint the small part on the rear quarter panel. MUCH easier plan and it'd take you less than an hour to do the swaps.
Stais
he couldnt swap the doors cause vert doors and coupe doors are different

Cut the door skins off the coupe and weld them to the vert

The center is buckling. Now, if the doors on the coupe were welded shut, that might help brace the car up some...

the doors on convertibles are re-enforced, their are extra bars inside the doors on convertibles. Also the rockers are diff. on verts, they are a lot stronger. When you cut the top off it will want to fold like a V, you would have to rebrace from front to back with 2" tubular steel, and side to side. Then have to worry about a top, and to make that seal.
I thought about doing it with my last car, but it would of been way to much work, easier to just buy a vert!
