Ok the locked thread got me curoius..... I've never seen a J with roof racks..... ever... if anyone has pics post them, detailed pics if you have them, I want to see how they actually attach to the roof ect..
GM offered them as a part of their Accessories...nothing special, just search for GM Accessories or look in one of the catalogs they used to give out.
I have my 2002 cavalier cat somewhere at home, I'll try and find it and post pics.
My Myspace Page
uh. please, no..
Blew it up, build numbers coming soon
i got one sitting in storage. i use it to transport my mountain bike. i dont think i have any pictures of it on the car, but i can take some pictures of the mounting points if you like. basically it has feet that sit on the roof, right on the edge above the door, then it has clips that come down and catch the insde of the door jamb to pull the rack down. very secure, i can crab ahold of the bike when everything is tight and shake the car back and forth. no roof dammage at all, altho if you have a sunroof it wont clear.
it makes sence how thr front section would attach but when you have a 2 door how does it attach?
I have all the part #'s for the Thule kit:
400XT Foot Pack
477 Short Roof adapter (needed for the coupes)
588 (eight pack locks)
LB50 - Cross bars
871 - 38" fairing
Fit Kit 245
The short roof adapter is what makes it fit on the 2 doors.

2005 Cavalier???
Man some guy was spamming that all over V6Z24 a while back until he got banned...Im pretty sure its the new Aveo...
That was one of the concepts because they used the opel astra platform. There is a thread somewhere with the old old design for the 2005 cavalier that people where photoshopping. Ill send a couple pics later if I remember.
As for the roof racks, I always thought that LS Sport in the snow was a cool picture. But I don't like it as much anymore.

It is a real car lol. The cobalt is the same thing. In fact I remember hearing somewhere about them using the hatch sometime soon also, but don't quote me on that.
Anyhow, back on topic.. What's with the sudden interest in roof racks?

My car may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
JBO lube - they would never have enough in stock and we'd never see RodimusPrime again
And they're both right hand drive what?! Hehe that or I just don't see the driver.
